This was a really fun game, and the in-game tutorial was pretty good for how unconventional the mechanics were (although I've nerded out on enough hard sci-fi to know the basics of orbital mechanics). Only thing I don't think was mentioned was that the goal is to do the orbit in as few moves as possible - I know it's called golf but it took me getting zero stars with 14 moves and not being able to go to the next level to actually get it.
Thanks for playing! Not being able to see any feedback on how many moves you do to how many stars you get was really an oversight when I was putting it together. Turns out little quality of life things like that are really important
Pretty fun game! Took some time to figure out the controls but i got there
Controlling the rocket took a little bit of time getting used to, but after that the game was really fun. Also cool concept, haven't played anything similar to it (at least yet). Great job!
Cool idea for a space golf game :) I found the rocket hard to control at times but probably just a skill issue from my part - nice entry!
I really like this game! It's really fun to see how different people interpreted the same game concept. I really like the challenge of having to stay in orbit!
Fun way to tackle the game jam theme!
Very interesting concept! Orbital mechanics are always really fun to play around with. What was difficult for me was a) the fact that you can fly off the menu and never return, and b) the insane difficulty spike from level 1 to level 2. Still had fun regardless :)
I had to refresh the page right off rip. After sending my rocket toward the first level, I completely overshot. Rocket went off page. Never came back. No indivation it would.
The controls were explained well enough, at first. But I could never get the rocket in the direction I wanted to go. The line on screen was never actually where I was pointing. I may have been utterly missing something, but I was having a hard time getting any more than a third of an orbit complete before flailing about.
Great visuals, nice music choice. The graph paper and math sketch theme thing going on is cute.
Thanks for playing! The line was supposed to show you your current path but I guess I forgot to explain that
Really cool idea - really gives you the proper feel of how orbits work :)
Cool idea! :D
