Whole family is furious now :D Great sounds!

Love it, saw it inside the Rage thingy inside discussions since I also made a rage game

hollow knight mixed with game jam, the controls take ages the learn though, i think with some more tweaking the controls this can be really good, also good use of the theme

I was going for a metroidvania type game but I only managed to make 3 main areas with a couple small side areas.  I should probably have had some text explanation of the controls in the game but I liked the idea of having no text at all in my game. Maybe I could have made the tutorial images better though. Thank you for playing!!

i think you did a good job on the metroidvania style level

very cute but cult and very serious. never thought to have some sort of ability gate type of game but this has it in some level which is pretty surprising

I really enjoyed this game, although I didn't get very far (skill issue on my part) loved the sound design. I think your game would have benefited from locking the mouse cursor to the play area, i kept clicking on random things on my desktop. Otherwise excellent work, very fun!

Really enjoyed this game! The concept was great and reminded me of rage games like Getting Over It, and I had a lot of fun exploring the levels and using the controls. I just wished that the direction to go and end goal was more obvious, as I couldn't get to the end screen and I went on every possible side quest. Great game!

Were you playing on the web or download build. I kinda forgot to update the download build fully. It still has the ending but its harder to find because the map seller doesnt exist in it.

Submitted

I was playing on the web build, so I might just be stupid.

Developer

I mean its not obvious even with the maps to be honest. The two people who playtested are my friends so they kinda saw me make the game so thats probably how they knew

Cool concept! It was pretty confusing to figure out, even with the signs, but once I figured it out it was very fun! Just needs some tweaks to feel a bit smoother, but very solid!

Using mouse rotation to charge the main character is a brilliant way to fully integrate the rotation theme into the game, and the greeting interaction is really fun! However, I still haven't quite figured out what angle gives a longer range. Also, I've encountered situations where rotating the mouse fails to trigger the charge. Lowering the threshold for the charging mechanics might improve the overall feel and responsiveness of the game.

Developer

I think I understand from a code perspective. why it doesn’t work sometimes. It should be at specific angles that it feels weird. I track the rotation of the stick in euelerangles which caps at 360. so sometimes it will wrap around and not work. didn’t have time to fix it and I don’t know how I would fix it either. Thank you for playing!!!

Movement system needs refining but it's actually very interesting and fresh! With controller support would be amazing :D

Submitted

The movement system is really cool! It reminds me of rage games like Getting Over It in a way. I think it has a lot of potential!

Submitted

ngl couldn't figure out the controls but the ball guy looks funny so 6/10

The movement feels extremely fun!! Unfortunately tho, the level design does not complement it very well, I think the levels look (and feel) like something that belongs in a mario game and not in a game who has this type of controls. Also, the movement is realy flexible! It allows not only for precision movement but also for really speedy tech, it could've gotten very interesting levels out of it. I love it!!

I liked the art style a lot and the sound effects of bing and bong made me laugh right away. But I did not understand the controls at all :c Can you explain how the player is supposed to get out of the starting zone? Would appreciate it

Developer(+1)

I'm sorry if it was unclear. You press mouse 1 to recoil yourself opposite to where your stick is pointed.  And then spin the stick around you in a circle to reload it. Most actions are done by spinning your mouse around the player

Thanks, now I get it! I think you should add this explanation to your game page, since I didn't find it intuitive enough

Honestly I was lowkey stuck but it has a really cool atmosphere so far, I enjoy it a lot!

Also mandatory petting of those lil sad guys up there, I hope they get to smile soon :(

the highlight for me was finding the hidden guys who wave back when you swing the hand near them. the controls are unique and tricky at times to use but rewarding when stringing together some jumps to explore high areas. from my experience, the double jump was a bit advanced to learn as the first move before knowing how anything works. and a little bit more health would have made exploring the dark areas more forgiving. the shops are a cool feature, it was fun going out to find more money and going back to buy the item there. overall good job on the cave atmosphere
