Extremely fun, I played this on hard mode while also answering teams messages from my actual coworkers (during lunch ofc). Ended up dropping to 1/5$ on the crazy wheel and reacted audibly. Really like the browser window as well. Hit detection on the office tab was a little buggy sometimes but overall great submission

Definetely the best that I've played this jam, the gambling wheel is not the most original application of the theme, but with having be during work hours and needing to pretend to be working makes it more interesting and intense.

The only comment I have asside from the obvious (pls, more events) is that it was clear to me that there were more wheels. I only realized that when i saw the weird vertical bar. So if that could be made alittle more obvious, i could've gotten bigger numbers earlier. But maybe that's just me and my oblivious ass.

Great entry, definitely see you in the top ratings :D

This was so cute and fun! Wish it had more events just like the phone ringing, where you would have to juggle between doing your work and betting. Great job!

I really enjoyed this one! Took a break from losing a ton of money gambling in order to play this super serious and accurate game about losing all of my money gambling! One of my favorites so far. Great job.

Well i see others tried an older build which didnt have the casino working

But fortunately, im on time and it worked great for me!
I too love the idea of working and gambling side by side

I like gambling ofc.. But for the work part, Id usually forget about it most of the time xD
Well that is probably intended and thus the phone ring and work ambience

But still, i sometimes just miss it lmaoo. Tho this is all skill issue

Other than that, I still feel that the work stuff could have more to do.. Maybe more minigames? something like a game where u just pick out wrong spellings  in a report and submit or just some variety.. Writing jibberish for 5 secs got kinda old quickly :P

What i mean is the idea is good, but the execution work part of the game could be improved
It already has great stuff like the phone to alert you in case you forgot, the boss meter in order to keep it relevant
Just that it could use more stuff

So ya, i DID have fun playing the game and even tho i complain about the work stuff, that dont mean it wasnt fun to manage both the sides, just that one of them could still be improved!

Also, i did read later that the phone ringing is supposed to be a ploy by the boss to catch the gambler xD
But i  would've almost missed it if i didnt read it outside the game
Tho i get its a jam and you probly didnt have enough time to add a lore section inside the game itself, but still, its better to have lore stuff in the game itself (tho it is true most people still skip text even if its in the game unless its labeled as controls or smthing xD)

Speaking of the phone ringing.. The sound feels like what you'd hear when you call someone, not a telephone ringing (just a nitpick)

Other than that, I loved the almost doodle-y pixel art art style but the gambling tab not following the same style did kinda rub off the wrong way for me.. But that still does a job of making the 2 feel separate ig? Still would have preferred if it followd the same style

WOW!!! I’m so happy to get such a long reply on a post of mine, I really appreciate the feedback!

Regarding the work segment, you’re absolutely right, I had a lot more plans on what I wanted to do with it, but ALL of the work segment ended up being completed during the last day + grace period of the jam so I had to kill a lot of planned features :(

The story and Casino art is another victim of this, originally I was gonna be working with someone else on art, so the casino UI was all meant to be placeholder, but since they got busy I ended up having to take up the other art alone and ran out of time to change it :p. Was hoping to pass it off as “it looks different cause it’s a casino!” But yea, it’s very obvious unfortunately.

Fr tho, thank you so much for playing, I’m happy the premise was able to shine through in spite of the flaws, and thanks again for all the feedback!

Ohh man that mustve sucked..
Ive never had to deal with a teammate leaving but i cannot imagine how it must feel

Tho im still glad you managed to finish the thing with pretty good polish lol

Btw if they left mid-jam, didnt they still ask for any credit?
if so ig u could mention their involvement

But still.. good on you to finish it up anyways!
I do agree that the different artstyles are very noticible but again.. They do make the 2 tabs just a bit easy to differentiate :P
Like that difference does make them feel separate parts of the game if you know what i mean

Well anyways, i hope some of that feedback was useful, have a great day!

Very promising. Love the idea of trying to balance playing slots at a casino and work. But didn't get the casino part to work sadly. Also no audio. Seems like a lot of unfinished parts, a shame, but well done anyway!

Thanks for playing! I just uploaded a new build of the game that has actual gameplay if you wanna check out a more finished version of the game. Either way I appreciate the feedback! :)

Couldn't get the casino to work but that might be on me. Really love the pixelart and overall style though. Great work! :)

Thank you! And no, it wasn't on you, I just forgot to add the different wheel types to the main scene after making them sooo....
I've added them now though, as well as some other fun stuff if you wanna check out a more finished version of the game!
