I know I'm late, but let me leave some notes here as well~

- holy what an extensive options menu

- quite annoying that missing the planet spins the camera as well

- I see, that's immediately no concern as the autospin is more than enough to never do it yourself again^^

- though it sure does help quite a bit still much later

- nice graphics, like it a lot

- I'm a sucker for idle games, so this is great

- so much text, gets in the way of me clicking more buttons faster xD (oh, there's an auto-button as well, sweet~)

- flickering of the planet is certainly not the most visually pleasing^^

- the single use upgrades feel quite useless in the grand scheme of things

- upgrades are lagging behind when spinning manually

- is there an end goal? if there is it should be communicated clearer^^

All in all, great work all around ^w^

My arm is tired from spinning the planet too much. Really fun clicker type game. I played it probably a bit longer than I should have since I wanted to see all the dialogue. I got past 10,000  Christmases calibrated and I assume I've seen it all by then.

Cookie clicker but funnier. It takes like 1 minute of gameplay for Earth's rotation to look insane LMAO

Developer

Glad you had a good time

Okay, maybe your game is a little addicting, juuuust a little, to be fair, I was actually expecting some sort of ending, where they would say they are happy with the amounts of christmas or something lol, I had to test it to see if 10k ended the game for science, duh.
As for the game, its fun, spinning with the mouse feels a little useless in the beggining, but it gets fun after a while, the upgrades are okay I guess, but they don't scale well, though I dont think the game was meant to be played for this long lol.

There is an ending. We just sadly did not have time to put in our stronger upgrades to get you there. Maybe in the future!

I'm not a fan of the genre but it's a very cute and polished game. The dialogue is adorable and every scientific claim in the game is 100% accurate.

Good work!

Developer

Thank you for the note, glad you had fun spinning to win!

Very good incremental game. I really enjoyed reading the dialogues while the earth made money. Very good idea for an idle game, add some dialogue to distract players as they farm resources, very ingenious addition!

The length was also perfect for a jam. Got to the final upgrade and felt engaged all the way through (I usually hate this kind of game). I would have liked bigger sprites, they looked good but were a bit small on-screen.

Good job on the jam! The president was also very cute!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I'll take the blame for that one - the artists drew the sprites to be bigger on screen. I just didn't implement their vision properly. So you're not alone in that one, haha.

Very nice "spin" on the theme :D Liked the story elements and UI too.. but after 1350 celebrated christmases i kinda wonder.. how do I even end this game? D:

Developer(+1)

That's the best part - you don't end it. You get to keep celebrating Christmas!

Submitted

Tried really hard to reach 1 xmas per sec but wasn't easy

The theme is extremely creative imo.

In terms of the design of the incremental options, I became confused with the tornados as I kept buying them and revs did not raise. I understood that fireworks were a "one time thing" but then tornados only clicked that "for once" also meant one time thing after experimenting.

For the rockets, I didn't feel like they had a cue for "one time thing" but through experimenting I found out they were too.

Not sure if it was the best design to have the last upgrades to be both "one time things", at least I felt like progression would come painfully slow.

As I've left this on idle for a while I noticed that the music loop was on point and it kinda became my "lofi radio" for a solid 15min lol

Cheers,

Developer

Appreciate the feedback and glad you enjoyed!

Such a cool game! This deserves way more good ratings. One question I do have though, is why the children never grow up into adults.. but I guess it works because of science duh

Developer

correct haha

lore had to be deleted due to time, tldr president banned birthdays cause they were too dangerous. talk about age or grow and you blip out of existance.

Submitted

Ah thank you. welp that's certainly darker than I imagined

The character design is legit amazing. The idea of a baby news reporter has so many possibilities!

Developer

Our art team really cooked with that one, yea.

This is so incredibly charming! I love the little details, from the little sound effects, the soothing music, the styled UI, and most importantly, the charming cast of characters (and ducks).

Feels relaxing to see the home planet spinning like a schizophrenic with 3 billion wind turbines and sattelites under calming music.

Glad you enjoyed!
