It's pretty funny how closely the dialogue UI resembles Blue Archive's lol
Face guide is a pretty interesting addition, probably won't be used much in actual higher level gameplay but it's neat for learning the order of faces and seeing how to line them up.
Clicked prologue ep 1 a 2nd time by mistake and couldn't get out, probably needs some kind of read indicator? Tutorial menus can be navigated with the movement keys, but there doesn't seem to be any binding for a confirm to close it.
The visual novel UI is definitely based on Blue Archive's hehe.
That Prologue Ep1 click bug seems new, do you mean as in you clicked again on the episode and it started to play again? Or that it got stuck somehow in a black screen or something?
The tutorial menus can be exited either by pressing the cancel key or the tutorial tips key ("ESC" and "I" default keys on the keyboard). I'll check it again in case there's a bug or something
nah, I meant that I clicked it again after completing it thinking it was a new episode, but then pressed skip expecting it to return me to the menu instead of skipping bit by bit
Good stuff nacho. I think I'd still like a little bit more juice and particles when you dice', but there's no denying how successful you've been pushing the concept to a logical conclusion. Good luck on launch!
Thank you GasGod! I will do the juice revamp eventually (like I've been saying for 2 years now lol)! Good luck with your launch brother! I'll be expecting it, I'll be sure to drop a huge positive review when Shrimp game releases.
New Story Mode Tutorial: Added an interactive playable tutorial to Episode 1 of the Prologue Chapter. Shown as a "dream sequence" in the story, this will introduce basic gameplay mechanics and useful techniques for a better experience.
On-Demand Tutorial Tips: A new "Tutorial Tips" button has been added to the pause menu across all game modes. This allows players to quickly access instructional slides mid-game if they need a gameplay mechanic refreshers or skipped the initial tutorial.
Cutscene Skipping: Included a "Skip Cutscene" button for the opening segment of Episode 1.
Level Skipping: Included a "Skip Button" button to the pause menu for the Story Mode gameplay segments.
Face Guide UI Widget: Implemented the Face Guide UI across all game modes to help players easily track the Kyubu’s 3D facial orientation as it rolls.
Roadmap Ahead
What's cooking for the next major milestone? A big update to the Steam demo:
Global Leaderboards: Preparing Steamworks integration so players can share high scores for some friendly competition.
The Story Continues: The next story episode is getting underway.
Japanese Localization: Japanese language display for menus and Story Mode.
Thank you for playing Kyubu Kyubu Dice, you are the best!
