Saw your comment on another thread about how in  your third jam, you recognized it is important to execute a simple concept well. I think you knocked it out of the park! Everything looked and felt clean; this is the kind of game you can play on your phone when you're bored.

I really enjoyed this game.   I really liked the visuals, and I think it was perfectly scoped for a game jam!

I think it needs to start out a little slower, so then it can ramp up the speed/difficulty, but that might be a skill issue on my part.  Though the music was good, I don't think it quite fit the mood that I felt when I was playing.  I was most definitely NOT in zen mode LOL.

Developer

Thank you! The music is the highest quality I found on OpenGameArt. It's so relaxing because by the end of the jam, I was hitting 10,000 score on easy, so I thought the game was really easy. So, after trying it a couple of times, you'll quickly gain skill, I think.

Dude isn't that the thing?  We play our own games so much testing that we really can be unaware of the actual difficulty.  I sent a different game to playtesters a while back thinking it had a good difficulty curve and they thought it was ridiculously hard!

Developer

Yes, that's the case when I made a souls difficulty level without even knowing about it 🔥

This fits the theme really well!

The ball speeds up quite fast, which makes for short satisfying rounds, but maybe is a bit too difficult early on.

Visually, it's a little hard to tell when the ball is moving quickly and you need to quickly shift the tower position. I ended up side swiping the ball often.

Nice job overall! This is one of those games that would go hard with a leaderboard.

Developer

Thank you! Yes, I greatly regret that this idea came to me so late. I think I'll use this project as a basis for future jams.

Love the concept, but something felt a bit off about the distance of the panels that you had to go through and the visual of the ball, it felt like I wasn't able to get my bearings right.

Developer

Thanks! Yes, the visuals need to be worked on.

fun game! i'm probably just bad at it, but I feel like if the floors were spaced out a bit more, it would give the player more time to react, especially in the beginning.

Developer

Thank you! I had the same idea about floors, but the more I tested the game, the more I got used to it, and for me it seems easy. It's all a matter of time 🎈

ah ok, yea def a skill issue on my part then lol

A simple game but very satisfying to play! I struggled at first with the depth perception, I thought my ball passed the floor but when I rotated for the following one I actually crashed in the one I thought I passed, but after some tries it came naturally and it was quite fun!

You might want to change to either the font color or background color of your page though because it's impossible to read your description without selecting the text right now

Developer

Thank you! Regarding the main page, I made some adjustments and made the background a little brighter, but what was wrong? This was the standard itch bg color that I made a little bluish and darker. In any case, taken into account, corrected

Nice little game, simple but nice for killing time:)

Hey, really cool game. reminded few really old mobile games) (i suggest you to change font and bachground color on game bage because i see nothing) good job over all! Also I invite you to play and rate my game: /jam/theveryseriousjuniperdevgamejam/rate/4720018

Developer(+1)

Thanks! I made the game in one day, so I didn't have time to polish it a bit. Yes, the background is a great idea; it would be cool to add a sky texture. I think this game can be expanded in the future!

This was cool, it was fun when I started using the track pad

good game, a bit similar to the helix jump game, i enjoy playing your game, good job.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Yes, I was inspired by tower rotation mechanics from Helix Jump, but to avoid cloning the game, I decided to change the player controller mechanics, inspired by Minecraft dropper maps
