I made it :D, definitely a "rage game" experience but I had my fun just "tippy tapping" the buttons to go the direction I wanted. Good Job!

The game has a very fun physics engine and I like the loop on paper. Where it faulters is a lack of explanation for the controls and the camera is quite buggy in its current state. I don't know if it's a result of the game being a proof of concept, but the Settings menu seems to cause a crash.

I managed the time very poorly and spent too much time on things that didn't even matter that much and did not end up in the final game instead of the basic features. I got used to the controls and the camera while developing the game so I did not know it was this bad to control, I should've playtested with more people lol.

That's the good thing about a game jam environment I suppose. It is a great place to learn what pitfalls to avoid in a more extreme scenario.

Developer(+1)

yeah, learnt a lot new things too, I also would've never came up with the idea for this game without being limited to the theme

The game definitely lives up to the promise! One of the more immersive experiences here for sure. Though I think a settings option should've been prioritized over a continue one.

Yeah poor time management got me, I tried to do complex things before adding the basic features first, The first 3-4 days of the jam I tried adding oceans/fog for the bottom world boundary and grass and skyboxes that did not even make it to the final game because they looked too bad. Continue button did not take that much time though it took like half an hour to implement. After the submissions closed I tried fixing the settings option but I broke the whole UI system and then gave up lol

I'm no angel with time management either. Based on what you're saying, I'd probably end up making the same decisions.

Damn, so close xD Like the idea, just a tini-tiny bit too sensitive, but I guess it's supposed to be that way ^^

Developer

thanks for trying out man, are you playing on a 2k/4k monitor? The game looks a bit too pixelated.  The game runs natively at 1080p because I could not figure out how to make the game 's res equal to the monitor without breaking the UI. sry for the unpolished experience and good job!

nah I just scaled down the screenshot, so it fits into the comments better ^^ I liked the visuals, simple but effective :)

I am certainly not certified to fly this.

I found the controls really hard since a little touch made the machine rotate a lot

Developer

I am glad to hear that, when I was developing the game I got used to the controls so i was afraid it was gonna be too easy for a rage game.

The camera being additionally attached  to the UFO's rotation instead of just the mouse    lead to extreme dizziness. Besides that though, pretty solid game.

ah I should've playtested with more people, I kinda broke the game now trying to fix something and I don't use version control so I don't have the previous iteration. It will be hard to update it now, I will try though, thanks for the feedback.
