A fun adventure. Great character design and interesting use of 3D environments in a 2D game.

The hitbox collision could be improved I think, Wasn't always clear whether I was going to actually hit the enemy and do damage or not.

Enjoyed it. :)

thanks max! i’m planning to update the hit boxes and add some more bosses closer to the middle of the month!

Very nice entry! 3d pre-rendered is a nice touch

What I liked:

  • Very cool 3d graphics (145mb game download though)
  • Reminded me of Diablo 1 style games
  • Simple to play and fun

What can do better:

  • Hitboxes are a bit unforgiving. Deflecting is the hardest one as the timing is hard to get right, don't think its visually aligned.
  • A bit on the harder side. However! The console was left open and hacked my way into the ending by giving myself more health: args.state.hero3d.hp = 1000 :)
  • Can get a bit repetitive as there are only 2 enemies, just more of them.

Poor Gerald, how's a Dolphin supposed to making a living?

This was fun.  I particularly liked that there was a parry window upgrade as my timing in fighting games isn't amazing.  I found that using that and the parry-heal upgrade worked well.

When I broke the seal I couldn't see it: I just got the prompt to do it.  Also a nice to have would be to have the movement logic so that you could slide along the wall instead of getting stuck on it.

Good work!  I enjoyed my time with this.

Thanks for playing Xed!

Good call on the logic upgrades. I intended to add waygates or doors that would open, but I ran out of time.
