What a ride! I saved the company, but at what cost! Had so much fun gambling my fortune, even won the jackpot! Great game!
glad you had lots of fun playing the game :) and thanks for playing it on your video too ;) ;)
I thought the music was great and the audio was set up well. However, the game was a bit confusing and could use a longer or more detailed tutorial. Additionally, I feel like the UI made it hard to track everything that is going on.
thanks for the feedback! i was trying prob a bit too hard to make the tutorial short to not make it boring but ig it ended up not serving its purpose well enough :'), yeah i should've worked on the ui a bit more to make it clearer, but still thanks for playing it :)
Who would have thought that saving companies from bankruptcy is so easy... and trippy! If I had known it before playing this game, I would have done it all day long! This game can teach you about the benefits of gambling in corporate business management. That's some serious educational value!
XD glad you enjoyed the saving company from bankruptcy simulator lol
only that i took inspiration from a real story of the fedex owner story B)
Cool game! I managed to save the company! :DDD but for some reason when I quit, the boss gave me the stink eye :((. Really liked the upgrades and it's a fun game overall :D
thanks for the feedback! glad you liked the game :)
Hello! I've played your game for a while and I have some feedback!
And that's my thoughts on this one. Overall it was fun! I hope I came off as constructive rather than negative, I try to offer ways to improve to every game I rate.
I'm financially ruined, how will I ever recover from this:
(Oh, the max bet number is 2.14b, it's in that screenshot)
Have a wonderful day and good luck in the Jam!
Pretty cool game, I liked the feeling of gambling away all of the company savings on a hail mary that backfired. 10/10 realistic gameplay.
It was a bit sad when I kept hitting 1x over and over at the start, and I never actually hit a bomb, but once I was able to not hit that 1x, it got better haha. Also, it would be nice if the intro didn't play on retries! And some of the upgrade text overfilled and went behind the buy button.
yo thanks for playing it, and ngl i took the inspiration for the whole game idea from an irl story XD i think it was the fedex owner gambling his company's last savings in order to save it, when he gambled around 20k he actually managed to win and get 70k lol, therefore giving a new hope to the company and saving it to become what it became now
and you're right the luck could be a lil bad :') but i think you were def lucky but not getting a bomb at all lol (its chance is prob 2% i think?), and yes i was going to make it that the tutorial dialogue not appear again but i didn't have enough time to do that since the tutorial was a last min addition lol, and yeah sometimes the upg description text overlaps cuz it's too long even tho i tried fixing it by making the text auto size
3002.61B! I may have tanked my first two companies (didn't realize I could adjust my bets using the bar on the right, oops), but my third, we went to the moon! No, past it, TO THE STARS! If you wanted to keep working on this game, I think one thing to look at is the readability of some of the text, specifically in the upgrade window. A few times the description was too long so it couldn't be read as it overlapped the price. But other than that, very fun for a quick playthrough!
yoo 3k billion is insane, good job really, well atleast we learned from our mistakes in the first 2 companies XD
and yes there are some bugged texts on the upgrades cuz they were too long sadly, even tho i tried fixing it by making them auto resize yk, but ig it wasn't enough :')
but thanks for playing and glad you enjoyed it B)
GAMBLING IS COOOOOL
In the end, I've kindof just bought every single thing and managed to get to almost 3k bilion :D
Even though I somehow won, I still have no idea how rounds work and when they change, but other than that - pretty intuitve, gambling inducing game. It was great!
EDIT: Small issue though, the bet amount is capped at 2147483647 (max int value), which makes end game and endless mode pretty hard to scale :C
yoo thanks for the feedback bro B) 99% of gamblers quit before hitting big, and you were the 1% ;)
you're right about not understanding how rounds work, should've explained that i the tutorial better (cuz tbf the tutorial was a last min addition :') ), but in general rounds work this way: you have a round target to hit, for example 1k, when you pass that you get to the next round, and that's it basically lol
the bet amount being capped was kinda unintentional at first, but then i decided to keep it as i felt it adds more challenge for the endless mode, and that's by making you buy and rely more on upgrades, cuz when done right, you can reach FARRR beyond that
but still thanks for playing it :)
Oh wow, I didn't expect for so much depth in a jam entry! love the upgrades and the fact there's an endless mode, but i'd have also liked some upgrades that let you remove slices, at some point my wheel became unreadable with hundreds of slices on it. Also text could use outlines to be more easily readable, as there's a lot of light colors and the text being white does not help.
Also, the 0x slices seem to be much more of a downside than getting hit by a bomb, maybe that should have been the actual fail state?
yo thanks for playing and glad you enjoyed it! all your points are valid as i was very close to implementing the "remove slice" upgrade but sadly time caught up to me :') i tried to combat the "unreadable wheel" by the text "you got: something something" but ig it wasn't enough, and wdym exactly by the last part? like wdym with the "actual fail state"?
First off, I did in fact notice the text at the bottom telling me what I got exactly, and it is nice, but I still believe removing slices and having a limit on the amount of slices to add would have been nice.
Secondly, the game's current way to lose is by losing all your lives from bomb slices, but after a few spins I had so much money I could just buy a lot of the upgrades that let me get around the bombs, so they become a non-problem, and I was more worried about the slices that took away my money like the "0x" slice, which I found to be way more of a threat (and thus would have been more interesting to me if I lost when I lost all my money)
ohh nice yeah i get what you mean, and yes you're right, but you are actually able to lose if you lose all money, like for example you can lose by having 0 spins left while you still didn't meet the target, or you can actually lose if you lost all money but i think that doesn't happen often cuz you need to bet all of your money like 100% and lose it all on a bomb slice (and yes bomb slices act like a 0x slice too), but yes i think having a 0x slice from the start would've been a lil better to add higher stakes to the game
