It was fun to see someone who had a similar idea, but took it in a very different direction. I did enjoy the dialog, although it could use a proofreading pass. Since the dialog mentions getting paid it would be interesting to do something with that. Maybe you could spend it on your campaign in a variety of legit or not-so-legit ways?
Display was OK for me. Enjoyed playing till the end. I was wondering if I would let you win through the choices I wanted to make and was glad to see that it did. Dialogue was interesting till the end. Nice to play a different sort of game and pretty well executed having reduced time. Good job!
Enjoyed your game, unfortunately the UI was off screen for me so I couldn't see the progress bars or some of the dialog selections. From the top two options i could see for each selection I found them pretty funny. As a satire type game i think you hit the nail on the head. Excellent work!
damn yeah i dont know how to fix this ui bug TwT i think i have to mess with the display settings probably ohh well at least now i know to watch for these things on my next game jam
haha thank you im glad you liked the game :D
I noticed if I zoomed in on the page a lot I got everything to show up on screen.
Ok very nice, i do think the theme was slightly weak but otherwise very solid little project
thanks :3
yeah i based the game around like a spin docter type theme, and like you have to spin the story to win kind of. i wanted to go for a more unique take on the theme since i didnt have much time to work on the game
It was kind of hard to play because the UI was off screen and when a menu would pop up, the dialogue box was always in the way.
i fixed it i think idk why the window size is being weird lol hope you give it another shot
Cute game, loved the music!
ohhhh thank you :D
Couldn't play it because it was somehow spilling out of the allowed window rather than scaling down, and the full screen button wasn't enabled.
ohh damnn yeah idk why the window is being weird i think i fixed it im not sure tho tell me if you can play or not
Checking from my work laptop (shhhh, don't tell my boss), and I'm seeing it differently scale badly. I'm unsure if there was anything cut off on the left side, but I got all the status stuff in the top right, and the text was fine.
I'm wondering if it is something odd with the browser window size, but it is also super odd that the text shows up fine for me, and it is just the rest of the game that is incorrectly scaled.
ohhh dang i tried setting the window size manually on itch but everyone sees the game with a different size its weird i think i had to set the viewport settings in godot correctly but i kinda forgot lol and i cant edit submissions now so yeah
I love the visual style and the music.
One thing i would add is more visually different gameplay, rather than all text.
Well done.
haha thank you, yeah that would be awesome if you can actually get on the computer and do things on it like minigames that would be cool i didnt have much time this game jam to do much tho so my scope was hella small i would keep your suggestion in mind thoo when i expand the game
this was funny and fun - I actually made it to mayor. Great game and the music was nice.
ohhh thanks a bunch glad u liked the game :D
Very nice game! It was a bit weird for that you win by becoming mayor when the goal was president but other then that very creative spin on the theme!
lol i was trying to make it you become mayor then senator then president but i didnt have time to add all that content so yeah and thank you im glad you enjoyed the game :D
