The system you've devised for the controls is very simple but quick to learn, I dig it. Unfortunately I'm not skilled enough to get past the first door puzzle LOL.  Maybe ease up on the reflex challenges up front so the over 30s can get through hahaha

seems like a really cool game tho, nice work

Thats unfortunate, I was debating whether or not to add hints for the starting rooms or if rooms themselves would be intuitive enough, I guess this would vary from player to player.

For the first room you must stay on the button, wait to recharge/player visor turns red then click past the gate to proceed.

Cool game, sadly I kept getting stuck at the door puzzle.

Pretty decent time. Would be good to compare to others that have also beat the game. What did you find funny about the game?

I have mixed feedback about the game. My girlfriend struggled with the double doors puzzle and got a bit frustrated, eventually giving me back the mouse and keyboard. However, for me, completing the double doors puzzle was really satisfying.

The boss fight at the end felt progressive, which made me feel like I needed to improve my skill level in the game.

I didn’t really understand how I was able to perform a full dash at first. I thought it happened because I was pressing the space key, but is it actually when I’m standing still?

So, to be clearer: I really liked the boss fight, the double doors puzzle, and the tutorials, which felt very progressive and intuitive. I would like to see more of the game.

I appreciate the honest and thorough feedback. I agree the double door level has a very narrow window of opportunity to pass through, I left it in to see if people would eventually make it past, it is challenging even when I play it.

The dash only occurs you click and when the player's visor turns red and still charges even when the player is still moving. I did leave alot for the player to discover the mechanics on their own from room to room, may have been better for more in game hints at the start to ensure this was communcated more clearly because I don't read instructions in video games either lol.

Thanks for playing through it, at least I know the game can be beaten. Hopefully the restart at the beginning isn't too punishing for everyone playing.

Restarting from zero didn’t really bother me because I feel like the game is pretty fast-paced. So in reality, once you get the hang of it, starting over from scratch doesn’t make that much of a difference.

It might be a bit annoying the first time, but after that it didn’t really bother me. That said, if you’re planning to make the game longer, you might want to think about adding a checkpoint system!

Neat byte sized dungeon adventure.

I liked the puzzle aspect of this where each screen has you figuring out how to go through, and the retro artstyle and music really reminded me of the old pre windows(or any OS really) era of computers where you could have games like these where you just played discovered stuff on your own and let the game surprise you XD

I died shorlty after the 2 doors with 3 buttons room but to be honest i made it this far a bit by luck cause i feel the iming on these doors closing is quite short O_o

Still a fun session non the less, good job :)

Wow, I'm kind of proud I got through that double-door puzzle lol. Unique concept! My left ear is grooving in a way my right ear won't ever understand

That room was particularly troll, Im glad someone got through it. Realised the left channel is from using audiostreamplayer2d, Thanks for mentioning that.

it's super cool and I am still humming the tune, but it's too hard for meeeeeeeeeeee!!!! ^^^

I like it a lot though, chunky pixel and this kind of music definitely is my thing. I like the fresh gameplay.

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks for playing, do you recall which room you had difficulty with?

Submitted(+1)

it is the double door room; I spent a solid 10 minutes.

that's good for a puzzle game (even if i'm lacking of skills uh) 5 stars for the music cause for atari like music it's so neat

I really like the game, and I wish there was more levels!

A decent puzzle game with a fun platform-shooting mechanic. I think the audio is a bit rough around the edges, but overall good work!
