Cool game!

Played it all the way through! Btw, had to switch to microsoft edge bc it would not play on firefox, idk why

Gotta say that maybe I would add the upgrades to the kid too, as I saw how all the trees that they chopped would not count for the log multiplier

Also, would add some more visual effects to take into account actions made by the player

But overall, cool! Congrats!

I think this is a very good start. I would easily play this for dozens of hours if there was enough content. If there were more life milestones(kids growing up and having their own skill trees for different professions, like a blacksmith or farmer that can buff back to the tree chopping), a building up your own home/city mechanic, etc. I think this is fantastic so far and I look forward to seeing what it looks like in the future.

I played this game for almost an hr, got to the point where you have your first born.

The biggest surprise in the game was the wife bringing in lunch and giving three boosts, that is so satisfying and really got me hooked to the game.

The loop in general is quite addictive.

Some potential points of improvement:

  • When the level ends music plays that makes you feel like you lost. I think that can be changed? Since there is no real lose win loop.
  • The start of the game has TOO few seconds in the gameplay. I think that can easily be buffed by 10-20 seconds without affecting the core loop.
  • It would be great to see the stats in some way during the upgrade screen.

Overall this was a very fun experience and I will come back to play. Fantastic job!

Thank you so much!!!

I actually added 5 seconds to every round today in a small update. I didnt want to overdo it since you get a lot of time bonuses.

That’s a great change! I agree the time bonuses are plenty once you get past the first few loops of chopping.

Very cool game :)

This game is great, I literally maxed out everything and beat the prototype You already have about an hour of content here, I think if you could add basic city/base building, story mode or home upgrade section (like kitchen upgrade, sons tools upgrades) for in between rounds this would a very marketable game. Early game progression is really slow but I was patient enough to get through it and I'm glad I did. Really great job overall, excited to see what you do with this.

I really like the graphics and theme here, It all looks very cosy. I found that the game was a bit choppy (performance wise) at points. Also, this might be just my gaming abilities, but I found the early game progression very slow. The game got faster as I bought more upgrades, but as I maxed out on chopping four trees per go in the early game, getting those upgrades took me quit awhile. I never reached past round three. Cool game though.
