Okay, it lagged a lot, not joking a lot. At the start it is totally unplayable. After a while it starts to get smoother and smoother. The gameplay is actually really simple but fun if it was not lagging this much. Like the whole game is good, but the lag just ruins the experience (I was on a 14700kf, 32gb ddr5 with a 4070). Maybe optimise it and it would be even greater! Really hard as well (or I just suck at it), fun to play.

Developer(+1)

Sadly I tried to fix the lag by removing alot of graphical components (I had an original, better-looking fog), but that only gave small improvements. I think that the lag just is caused by it being a 3D game and the renderer not being able to handle it. I do hope i'm wrong and that there are plenty fixes for this because yeah- it sucks alot, and it's crazy a 4070 is lagging on THIS game LOL. Thank you so much for your review tho :D

Not bad. The atmosphere, art and music go really well together for a horror game. Loved the creepiness of the entire game. This gets a 5 on Horror for me. Good job!

That aside, I just wanna say: Sometimes the mouse input is hard to control, sometimes accidentally making me face the wrong direction

That is all. Thanks for the game!

Developer

Thank you a ton! :D And sorry about the mouse input, I should've added a sensitivity slider or something- it completely slipped my mind since the non-web exports had much smoother mouse movement. Thanks so much for your input :D

Very nice atmosphere, the cutscene at the start add lore which is very good.

Developer

Thanks a ton! :D

Pretty cool intro cinematic and lore, I love how you used capsules for this. Though the enemy's we're pretty easy to shoot they would just run at me in a straight line. Other than that I really loved the aesthetic of things and at the end of the day it feels complete, has a beginning and an end, great job!

Developer

Thank you so much! :D LOL yeah they're sadly (or luckily?) not that smart with the pathfinding they currently have, but I'm so glad you felt this way!

Never thought I would be so scared by blockfaces... (I mean I knew I was bad at playing horror games, but why are they so uncanny valley esk?)

Really cool horror elements, gameplay feels a little flat though... Loved the music and atmosphere, even though the art style was simple, it allowed me to focus.

(Overall I really want to support Atomic.art's comment, for I share most of his opinions and problems)

Have a nice day :3

Developer

Haha thank you so much for your review :D I totally get what you mean with the flat gameplay, there was so much more I wanted to add but didn't have any time. I'm super glad you felt that way about it, and it sucks that those problems were present. Sorry for that, but I atleast hope you had fun playing it though :D

Hello, it seems that this game has potential, but I would improve the visual component, the music is good, I also have some difficulty controlling the mouse left and right, maybe I don't understand something, but I can't do it on full screen either!

Developer

Thank you! I totally understand, and the visuals did look better before but I had to change them to ones that looked less good because of the web renderers inability to well, render them. Hopefully there are better alternatives that I could've taken since that means it's improvable. The mouse thing sounds really odd, I should've added a sensitivity meter, sorry. Thanks so much for your review!

Developer

And thank you for saying that about the fullscreen button lol I forgot to enable it. Thanks!

Cute little game! I really liked the little intro cutscene. The gameplay was a bit simple, but cleanly executed. I did have a little trouble with the game freezing for a few seconds every once in a while, though. Nice job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you!! With the freezing, I genuinely don't know why. From what I've gathered it's something about the web renderer having difficulties with the graphics, but I've seen some other games here also made in godot which have the same issue. Thanks for the review :P
