Hi, I'm looking for a programmer capable of making multiplayer games and concept artists. I myself am a 3D generalist. But I have experience with writing and some programming in Gamemaker.

Project Cryptid (Currently no name) is a 3D coop horror game about hunting for Cryptids. The style is ps2 graphics with a intentionally lower resolution to amplify the horror aspect.  Basic premise is you and your friends travel the rust belt to discover cryptids. You have to manage your cash for gas, food, hotels, & equipment. Think phasmophobia but longer and better gameplay wise all around. I will explain the game in more detail in private.

Status: Open 🟢

Please note that I don't have a huge budget as I am broke. So I can't offer much but you will get paid for your work.

Hi Vampiric Kai,

I am an senior Unity developer and software engineer with 10+ years of industry experience, with experience in gameplay systems, game mechs, UI, multiplayer games, cross-play, game architecture design, scalable foundation, custom Editor tools, non-Unity tooling, asset pipelines, CI/CD pipelines, technical planning, optimization, liveOps, and more. I have worked for games on PC, Android and iOS.

Some games I have contributed to as a programmer:

Would love to know more about this project. Discord: aklgupta

Hey, I'm Robin. Your project sounds interesting to me, I love the PS2 horror vibe. I also have a lot of experience in concept art, and most of my work leans heavily into the horror genre, so I think we could easily team up. Dm me in Discord - @robinbrick let's discuss the details there (You can see my portfolio in the last post on my profile, or I can send it directly in DMs)

Hi Kai!

Hello, i would like to work as concept artist:

Greetings,

I am an Unreal Generalist with experience in solo-developing my own retro FPS game in a very similar visual style to yours (low resolution PS2 style) and have experience setting up render systems and optimizations for your intended visual style. I am highly proficient at Blueprints programming.

I am proficient in working with the full pipeline, including BP code, shader graphs, Niagara, post processing and can integrate these systems with BP code.
Here's is my Unreal portfolio . All programming in the projects in my portfolio were done by me in Blueprints (no C++).  I am very familiar with OOP concepts and make heavy use of inheritance, interfaces and dispatchers to minimize hard references, tick based functions and ensure my code is highly scalable and easy for designers to customize using parameters. I have strong experience in other fields necessary for UE5 game development as well, having made all assets in my game myself from modelling to texturing to importing and programming. I can also use Niagara to make highly satisfying reactive VFX.

Other than this, I am also a 3D hard surface artist proficient in making models in Blender, and have experience making models optimized for real-time use in video-games as well as making still renders. Here's my 3D art portfolio.
I have strong compositional skills and visual design skills and make heavy use of color symbolism and atmospheric lighting to bring scenes to life, and make my models with a heavy focus on the game's visual direction so everything fits cohesively to deliver a harmonious visual experience.

I'd love to know more about the project and discuss any work details with you.

I just want to make it clear from the start that I don’t use AI or automated bots to send messages :D If you create assets and such, and you give them to me, I’ll program the code suitable for whichever platform you’re planning to release your game on. I don’t recommend the Unity Editor for low-poly; low+++ and mid-poly are okay, but Godot will handle the job just fine. I’ve made many games before, and they were all high-quality, but due to my non-disclosure agreements, I can’t publish or share them :D They have very strict policies. I generally work on an hourly basis, but the project’s workload is also important. If you provide me with the assets and other materials needed for the game’s 3D production and overall development—along with your general plan and budget—I’ll take care of it. Please email me at hello@simulatorarts.com with your budget and your vision for the project.
