Is AI artwork okay?

I'm wrapping up a visual novel/ figher game and I want little CGs in between battles. Is it okay to use AI generated CGs for this? If there's an issue with it, I can just make the CG sections a black back ground, but I don't believe I'll even be able to make a rough sketch of these in time to submit.

Thanks all!

I think it's normal as when you publish your game you are asked did you use ai/assets and you would be pretty honest about it and nothing happens.

Thanks for the response!  I agree, I don't think I'll be disqualified for using it. I know there's are some strong opinions on AI and I don't want to use it if it will hurt my game more than it will help it lol

I guess since menus don't count I can have a "No AI" option which replaces the CG art with black screens for those who would prefer 馃槄

Discord FAQ:

Is AI allowed?

AI is allowed only in an assistive capacity. You can use AI to help with coding, debugging, ideas, writing, or other support. AI should not make the entire game for you. The final submission should still be your own work.

Thank you for the reply!

That complicates things a little because I'm following that role as far as I can tell. I'm making the game, but I can't draw to save my life lol.

I'll submit what I have and if it's  not kosher that's on me. Thanks all
