Fun little game and I like that someone else had the idea to implement an orbit. I got around 300 before I played a bit more carelessly and got got by RNG.
Little tip for next time, usagi has a wrapper above all controls, where you can just do input.pressed(input.Left etc.. https://usagiengine.com/#input) where you can use those and let the player use either wasd/arrows/dpad/joystick on any control of their choice. Also I’d love a restart button that is not ctrl+r as that reloads the page in itself.
Otherwise, neat graphics, cute sounds and a good score chaser idea you have here! Well done.
I stopped after I reached 1000 points with 15 lives/astronauts left so my only minor caveat would be that, nevermind if there's any subtility to it judging by the screenshots, I'm not fan of the current difficulty and wish I would eventually die.
Either way the game is pretty much a perfect jam game, super fun with a great implementation of the theme.
Thanks for the criticism, and yes I agree the lack of difficulty ramping makes it easy to get a high score (but damn your score is really high). I might make a post-jam version finally properly implimenting difficulty scaling
You should probably add directions to the description of the game if you prefer not to add a main menu.
I like how the music changes every time you restart the game. It's pretty addictive, but I never got very far. Overall, I'd describe the gameplay with Dead or Alive's song, You Spin Me Round (Like a Record).

Hectic fun! I unfortunately killed all the spaceships trying to get back to erf.

Hmmm… thanks for the advice, I will take note of that :) (dunno if I can add copyrighted music tho)
