Hi, I’m a programmer who have some experience in Butano engine.

  1. I wrote butano-ldtk, which can import LDtk levels in Butano.
  2. I’ve also forked Butano engine to support PSG + PCM synchronized music playback.

I’d like to do a new project that incorporates above two for the GBA Jam 2026.

I’m specifically looking for:

I have a vague idea of top-down metroidvania, where you progress by eating enemies to transform into them (somewhat like Kirby games).
But this might be a huge scope for a game jam like this, so I’m totally up to different ideas.

Heyo! I would be interested in talking some more about your idea, I’m a pixel artist. Do you use discord? I could potentially do a bit of level design also cause I’m familiar with ldtk but would mostly be interested in doing pixel art.

Sorry, I forgot to update the post, we already got an artist who would also do the level design.

No worries! Enjoy the jam!

Hi, are you still looking for a composer? I’m not familiar with the trackers you mentioned but I’d be willing to learn for the project.

I’m sorry, but this is a very experimental setup that would be awkward even for those who are already used to trackers. I don’t want to put you in the multiple burdens of learning 2 different trackers and composing music without any way to synchronize both trackers on your PC. (And you might need to do some workaround because of potential issues with this setup, too. It’s not battle tested.) So, I’m looking for someone who is used to these trackers to some extent.

No worries! I plan on learning Furnace anyway and I would be up for figuring out your setup, so feel free to get back in touch if you don’t find someone better suited. Best of luck!

Heyya! Interested in the composer role, haven't used said trackers but plenty of game jam and chiptune experience and a very quick learner!

Hi, is the composer position still open? I'm familiar with both Furnace and OpenMPT, and I'd love to see how I can help! (๑˃ᴗ˂)و

It’s still open. If you have a discord account, you can send me DM (@copyrat90) so that we can discuss about it.
