The music and visuals are VERY good here. I love stylized stuff and the kinda wondrous almost dreamlike feeling of the music at the beginning is just, ugh its SO good. Its unfortunate you couldn't get everything you wanted, because I'd really like to see the rest of what you had in mind!!
I came back to this entry tonight just to hear the opening music again. It does such a good job of capturing that cathartic but tense "there's something in the air / something bigger is happening" feeling, and wonder, nature, and power. Really, really beautiful work. I'm taking notes, and not just on this project! Thanks for sharing your work!
Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked the music, being a musician that's the most important part for me!
A very interesting take for a mecha subject, short but sweet, loved the visuals and music, but it unfortunately lacked in game play for me
Pretty nice narrative experience.
I really like the premise, a world where you have remnants of a past war with giant mechs and the fact that since they’ve been replaced by magic all the knowlege of how they work seems lost is pretty badass. I also like the spritework for the backgrounds with all the dithering, this really gives a super early computer game vibe to the whole thing contrasting with the more orchestral music (which is also really good)
Probably due to time (so that’s understandable) but i kanda wish it was a bit longer :(
One thing that gets me really curious is that you’ve ended this on the possible start of a battle and i really wonder what kind of gameplay did you envision for these segments.
Solid entry, you did well especially doing it all solo :)
Thank you! Yeah, this is the shortest possible version of the story I had in mind. Nevertheless, the original story ended up before the battle too, so I never gave any thoughts about gameplay, that would be interesting to implement in bitsy or renpy.
Oh i see, well i thought the cliffhanger was due to time, but it is also quite interesting if done by choice cause it can make for something world building based so that’s cool as well ^^
Very poetic, I’d say.
Graphically, it’s quite good pixel art. I really liked the art style and the simplicity of the different color shades.
The sound was very immersive, and it became quite stressful toward the end.
The ending of the game feels a bit abrupt because when you finish it, you don’t immediately realize it’s over, and you restart from the beginning without much transition. Despite that, I have to say I really appreciated the different perspectives in the game.
I also loved how easy it was to understand how to move right away. The controls are quite intuitive.

Thank you! Unfortunately all bitsy games restart when they finish. Usually it's a cool feature, but in some cases an option to disable that would be preferable.
just perfect, there's something poetic about it
super cool and atmosheric! super inspiring in the way you used grid movement on non square landscapes and maps
This is beatiful. Very short, but great.
Such a cute game! I love the music. Some more ambient sound effects and then this game is so perfect. I love lore games, and the ambiguity is great. The art is also great, the backgrounds especially. I do question the thumbnail...
I wish there was more! Nice work.
Thank you! lol the thumbnail was the last thing I've made a few minutes before uploading the game, just went with the flow
Really strong atmosphere! I love the music and art a lot, it all works together super well. The story is also really intriguing, the premise of magic replacing machinery is one I've not seen before and I'd love to see it expanded more!
