My main issue with the game is I feel like the game loop just isn't fun.  There isn't really a lose condition, I can make the swords however I want, so I didn't really feel challenged by the game.  I would understand this if the point was to make nice looking swords, but I feel like the art doesn't contribute to that. It is also pretty frustrating putting the swords together, it feels like the items don't stick when I want them to stick.  On a positive note I do like the environment for building the swords, could be improved by adding some shadows, but I do like it. And I like the silliness, but I feel like you could've made the silly items more sword-like, like stretching the ducks into a blade shape, or something like that. Also I don't really understand the point of rotating the objects, I feel like it just slows me down in making the swords. Overall, with a few fixes I think this could turn into a fun game, if you leaned more heavily in to making it about the aesthetics of the sword, or fully into the silliness.

After playing through the game for a while I have a few suggestions and things I've noticed.

what works:

-I like the photobashing art style and the menu style for the wooden plank. I think that the choices for each of the swords are also pretty funny.

-I think that the clicking into place for the swords makes sense

-I think that the overall design for the game is good, it's simple in nature and the point is pretty clear how to work on things

what could be better:

-the unity font and the timer at the corner is probably not the best for the game. I think that this does really take away from the game aesthetically. even something like a meter could have been better.

-the clicking into place is sometimes kind of tricky, I think you have to be careful sometimes and a little too diligent about your placement that it takes you out of the loop

-the Ui for when the game is done is also confusing. the first time I played it through I waited on the game to indicate to me if I put all the pieces together because the contrast of "weapon in progress" and "finished sword" right next to each other is super confusing. I think only one Ui item at a time to show the player their progress is necessary.

what's not working;

-I think that the screen size and the sword is incompatible, there are a few times where you can't see the sword once it's constructed which is frustrating for me.

-the instructions for the sword is too unforgiving. I found myself pretty stressed, and not in a good way, about trying to quickly memorize what needs to be put together.

-I think the overall game loop needs revisiting. If you're going to have a timer then you need to throw the player a bone and give them the instructions perpetually, then the game is about quickly piecing together the sword and racking up a score. if you don't want to show the instructions then you need to give the player a lot more hand holding for how to assemble the sword and let them know when it's ready to be sent out.

Interesting memory game! Initially wished the order stayed on longer but quickly got used to it! More variety of sprites would be great.

I think the game was pretty good. The idea of crafting swords made out of random parts was funny, and leaves the combinations to be funny.

I think the sample image needed to be left up longer at the start of the game, and then slowly decrease how long players have to receive that information. Cause, like opedrin, I also have a goldfish brain and wasn't sure if I was building swords correctly.

While the assets looked good, I think some of them were out of scale from the sample image. The bottom of the Oar popped up a few times as a tool for making the sword, but I couldn't tell from the sample image where it was supposed to go.

The game definitely was fun to play though, and with a few more tweaks could be really interesting.

It's a neat concept but it doesn't feel complete. I think the game would be more fun if there was a reason to do what you do instead of just smashing pieces together in silly shapes, love the silly shapes don't get me wrong but there is no reason to make silly shapes if the only measured thing  is number made and not quality.

9/10 would build duck sword again -The order doesn't stay on the screen for very long, but that adds to the challenge. Very silly!

High Score:15

Its a fun idea but I'm not a big fan of it mostly because I suck and have gold fish memory 😭😭 other than that nice work
