Submission Description
Story Idea

Just another normal day in this normal week.

A greyscale, repetitive cityscape where everything in everyday, everywhere is choreographed to the same dull routine. Everyone wakes up and works and then sleeps, then wakes up and works and then sleeps, then wakes up and works and then sleeps.

A cyborg (just ticking boxes at this point) wakes up one day and goes along their daily routine, and crosses the road, when they suddenly stop, and decides to skip work.

Gameplay Ideas

A isometric view science fiction adventure game exploring the city, solving puzzles and finding a way out of the grid of skyscrapers or stay and go to work late. Perhaps solving the puzzles would give you some sort of key that you could use to escape.

You did a good job making the soundtrack feel very dystopian. It feels cold and lonely which fits your description. It does, however, feel more dystopian than it does robotic or cyborg-like. I think that much like my own, it would have benefitted from some more synths

Very cool atmosphere you have created here. I love the style and tone you went for. My only thing is that your piano sounds way to forced and way much louder than everything else. It also has way too much reverb!! So consider adjusting it a bit and see. They also sound a bit muffled. But other then that, great work here! Fits the theme well!

The atmosphere is great throughout! Personally using only a piano throughout without much else, aside from the first track that is, didn't really give me a lot of Sci-fi vibes from just listening to the music on its own, but would in such a setting though no problem 😀

Having some more synth elements to accompany the piano or something of the sort in the tracks might've helped add some tropey futuristic feels to it, but the music itself is great! Though on Demolishing the audio seems to be clipping at some parts.

Good work!

Thank you for rating my submission! Unfortunately, the coherence to theme part was always something I struggled with in composing jams, so that's probably something I need to focus on personally in the future. The synth suggestion you had would've probably worked to incorporate a sci-fi theme so I'll keep that in mind next time I'm making something electronic-y. Thank you so much for giving feedback and I really appreciate it!

In the context of your story idea in your description I find that a more mellowed dynamic range is spot on. I do enjoy the sense of melancholy and (intentional) monotony you conveyed in your tracks. While i read the description and listened to all of the tracks, I find there needs to be some element that more succinctly conveys the idea of cyborgs or AI. That being said, I still enjoyed your work!

Thank you! I really enjoyed making these pieces and I do agree with you that I need to focus more on the theme so that may unfortunately be my downfall :< Thank you for rating my submission!

I enjoyed all three themes, but I don't see the difference between it being a science fiction game or another type of game. Aside from that, it's a great piece of work.

Thank you so much! I actually had in mind a science fiction game when I made this so I guess I should have conveyed it better. Thank you for rating my submission!
