I love the thumbnail art for the game very nice!!!
And seeing were you died is such a cool detail
Keep it up :)
Hello, fellow Slime creator! Very fun Slime experience indeed! Love the art. The difficulty is good, had me even fuming at some points.
One thing I noticed, if the player jumps from close to the edge of the platform while walking, the jump doesn't register.
Other than that, great slime experience!
Love the games asethetic, and design. The general loop of the game is fun. I didnt get what "corpses" mean, either that meant retries or death before I need to restart from the very beggining. The game isnt too hard, moderate enough to be inducing, and enough to find enjoyability. The art could be better, its pretty static, with mixels in it too. The music is nice, calming, what you'd expect from a rage inducing game.
Absolutely rage-inducing 10/10
Downloadable = slop
There are comments below confirming it is not a virus. If you havent played it then why add a comment, honestly.
I like the music and the slime is cute, 4th stage made me lose sanity, pretty cute game tho!
Nice, I love me a classic platformer! What can I say. The movement is snappy. It could be better with coyote time and jump buffers like YoloArts mentioned but since the jumps aren't that tight its perfectly fine. The gravity reverse and jump platform mechanics are oldies but goodies and they are implemented well. I really liked that you managed to make different themed worlds with their own music track and tileset.
The timer felt a bit unnecessary. If that ever reset me back to the start of the level it would have felt like doing the level again for no reason. There were also some blind jumps like in the night world when I had to land in the correct spot after hitting a gravity reverse. This caused some frustrations and trial and error.
A satisfying ending screen to top it off and everying together makes for a great jam entry. Keep it up!
Hi I played your game and it was fun. Great job on learning the Godot Engine (Programmer at Uncrafted when🤔) ANYWAYS, here is the feedback I have for your game:
Controls:
Controls were simple but clunky to use. For platformers, I suggest taking a look into "Coyote Time" and "Jump Buffers" to make your controls feel better to use and more 'fair' to the player. Implementing these will solve some of the issues I had when pressing spacebar but the character did not jump. Other than that I did not have problems with the controls.
Mechanics:
I understood the mechanic where you can use your corpse as a body to jump on, but I do not think the level design supported the use of this mechanic which was a missed opportunity as it felt like a unique platforming mechanic.
The use of a timer should only be implemented IF it is a major part of the mechanics of the game, so I would not include a timer unless it makes the game more interesting.
Level Design:
Most of the levels were fine. Some levels were a bit tricky and long without any checkpoints. Specifically there was a level that I got stuck on and it had several 'one block' ice block jumps and that was frustrating to do as the precision needed was tricky, and losing sent me all the way back to the beginning.
Art:
USE THE ANIMATIONPLAYER IN GODOT TO FAKE ANIMATIONS since the game looks quite static.
Overall great job with your submission! I hope this feedback helps :D
