I downloaded the Mac version of the game, and had to go into my settings to open it. This might have something to do with it, since the error mentioned a "read only location". I was able to bypass this at first by going to the menu from the error message and playing like normal. After a certain point, this stopped working. It was at a point where I was choosing who to read my poem to. Once I got to Monika (it was at the part right after the choice said "just Monika", she would end up being the only option) hit "ok", then hit yes or no, it would open an error message, saying there was no "__getitem__" or something.
