Seriously impressive. Could use a bit of polish here and there, sure, but dang, what's there is great. Fantastic work.

Very well game all around a candle. I personally like the coarse graphics and also like the gameplay and feel.

I found the last levels weird: I had a candle and could not do anything but flee, and I was even too slow. Maybe, I missed some fundamental game element here? Can I light the candle without fire? Or can I do something else than just running (too slow)? Also, it felt to me more puzzle-y than hectic, so I think it would be better to give the candles just a bit more time so it is not always at the very edge but gives the play(er) a bit more tolerance.

Anyway, well cone! :-)

I really liked it, and it fits the jam theme perfectly. Great work!

The visuals are really unique I loved the look of the game, especially the camera style. The puzzles have a great difficulty curve, and the candle and light mechanics are really well thought out. I had a lot of fun with it. Great job!

For just 1 level this is pretty amazing. I love using the candle to repel the enemies, and it's a really creative idea to use it in a way that I need to go to campfires to get a "checkpoint" and then continue with the temporary candle.  The visuals are nice, the enemies are creepy good, and the ambience and music in the last part of level 1 is just right. There is a bit of an issue when I use E  too close together with the key and candle, but it's ok. This is one of my favorites so far in this jam, AND you did it as a SOLO DEVELOPER! I can't wait to see level 2 if you decide to continue this game, I would love to see it continued. INCREDIBLE WORK!!!

Thanks so much for the review! I'm glad you enjoyed it, especcialy the candle mechanic and the atmosfere. You're right about the overlapping key/candle actions and I'll be fixing that in future. Thanks again for playing and for the amazing feedback!

No problem! By the way, I am wondering what game engine you used to create the game. It doesn't show on the page or in the game, did you create it in your own custom engine?

Also please rate/give feedback to our game as well if you have the time :) https://abelgamedev.itch.io/7-nights-at-banana-farm

I used GameMaker for the game. I had just rated your game and it's very good!
