Fun game and loved the artsryle! Felt a bit enoying that I needed to restart the level a lot because I didn't get past the monster before the portal on level 2.

We are glad that you loved our game.

This game feels very original, both visually and story. The first thing that caught my attention was artstyle inside of the cave. It isn't just "a cave" - there are cave paintings.

One thing I noticed was that the thunderstorm at the beginning seemed to stop pretty fast. I'm not sure if that was intentional or just something related to the web version.

The portals confused me a bit. I tried going back through one of them, but it sent me back to the start of the level, and then eventually all the way back to the beginning of the game.

I also liked the overall presentation. Even small details, like the menu buttons, were charming. The game reminded me a bit of  Lisa: The Painful and Heartbound

One suggestion for next time would be to include a downloadable version as well. I don't know if it is intended or not, but the game feels supper choppy and laggy, like a slideshow or powerpoint presentation

Firstly thank you for your appreaciation and yes the lightning stopping suddenly was intentional and we will add the zip file to the game, in the next update once the results drop. The lagginess might be because of lack of optimisation if it is then I will address that too. Thank you for the review.

Nice game! The pixel art was great, the wall art was beautiful, and the movement felt fluid! Not sure what happened with the opening cutscene though, it felt SUPER laggy (to the point I thought I might need to refresh the page. It might have just been me or maybe it was an intentional effect. I think a rat picked me up at one point and I rode on its head which is awesome. Overall great work!

Well, thank you for your appreciation of our game, we are glad that you liked it. And we will make sure the glitches are fixed in upcoming updates.

The art style especially the background is really well done. There was some monster in one of the first levels that looked really neat as well. The intro cinematic was very laggy for me but the gameplay itself ran smooth.

Developer

Well thank you very much for the appreaciation, the lagginess was mainly due to file conversion I am assuming. Ogv file size was way smaller than when we exported the original file.

The art is kinda cool, but the game was kinda buggy in my experience, some platforms look to randomly lose the collision.

Developer(+1)

This was our first game and game jam, but it isn't an excuse. So we will make sure to fix the bugs in updates

Loved the art style, but the bugs were making the gameplay a little annoying. Bullets don't work on platforms, and I somehow softlocked myself by walking under a platform that was (i think?) at the edge of the map. The mystery and plot was also interesting :)

Thank you for the appreciation, and we will surely make the required changes to fix the bugs.
