I love the color palette and the art is great! Personally didn't think the music and SFX really fit what was going on. Game is pretty brutal for the reasons others have mentioned, but that's all stuff that could be easily adjusted. It could just be a matter of slowly ramping the difficulty and introducing new recipes/mechanics over time.
Overall, I enjoyed playing, and I think this could be turned into something great!
I tried my best to progress but unfortunately I was failing quite quickly hah The idea is quite original - I like that i had to "fish" for my ingredients. The SFX could use some compression, it was quite harsh. Good job!
This was a really neat idea and I like how you used the theme. I appreciate you adding a tutorial before the start, although I think it could have been a touch more thorough in my opinion.
Thanks for sharing what you made :)
Art and music are so cool!
I like the art style and concept of the game but I was struggling at first. I thought I was giving the customers their order but they kept getting angry and then the game would end. For the fish is there anything else to other than fry the fish and give it to them?
The gameplay was interesting and had a good foundation for a chaotic management game. I did find myself loosing a lot without knowing why, which was pretty frustrating.
The gameplay is fun, and the game looks and sounds nice, especially the music.
But I have a few issues
The biggest problem for me is the randomness. You get random ingredients on the right and the customers want random things on the left. They often want something that you don't currently have and can;t get for quite a while, because the rng said no. I once ended up with 3 customers wanting pinecones at once and I couldn't get a single one, because they just wouldn't show up.
Other minor issue is that the door is very punishing. Once you start holding it and let go for even a milisecond, you instantly loose. Or sometimes I didn't even know why I lost. Perhaps an information on the death screen, what killed you could be helpful?
I also encountered a bug where I somehow picked up two things at once and one of them stayed glued to the mouse forever and I couldn't get rid of it in any way. And another thing that I don't think is supposed to happen is items staying in your inventory after restarting a game.
In It's current state the game is difficult and a little unfair I'd say, but I still think the Idea has some good potential and with some adjustments it can turn into a very fun game.
Best wishes on your way ahead!
I had to lose quite a few times to get the hang of it, but otherwise it was quite fun.
It took me some time to understand what was happening but once I got it I knew exactly the moment I made a mistake. I would absolutely buy a fully released version of this game without hesitation, and now I'm yearning for something I didn't know I needed. Congratulations!
Fun little game loop! Was a bit confusing to understand exactly what was going on, especially with the door; I knew something had to be done but I was not aware it was opening, and I was not aware I had to hold it until a few retries. Still, after I figured out what was going on, it was fun managing all the little minigames! Great job!
Beautiful visuals! The music is great too! The tutorial was so clean! The gameplay is nice and I like the very subtle creepiness factor of the entity. I was a little confused about what to do in certain situations (I think clicking the entity a bunch made him go away for a bit?) and I did seem to die super quick (not sure if the entity was getting me or you lose if you miss an order or something) so I think a little relaxing the lose conditions a little bit and/or a little more visual feedback on when you're about to lose or why you lost would be nice. Then again, it could have just been that I didn't read something somewhere. In any case, amazing work!!
