Congrats on your first submission! Thanks for sharing even though you didn't get to accomplish as much as you wanted. imo, it's worth it to submit whatever you've got, because then you still get to play other people's games and see what cool stuff they came up. We're all here to learn, share, and get better!
I do like the concept and I thought the art and music was very on-theme. That carpet man, took me back to birthday parties at the bowling alley!

So far, I'm interested in the concept you have here, especially the charming art and the pretty banging background music. Somewhat unfortunate that there's little gameplay but I appreciate that this is your first game jam and you probably had to learn quite a few skills on the fly so I'll give my kudos and hopefully in future we'll see a more realised version of this concept!
Ahh thank you so much for liking my art and the music!! I essentially learned everything on the fly (my coding experience before this was Scratch and Renpy), so there was a lot to learn for this jam. I'm definitely planning on making a full version of the game so stay tuned!! (:

Keep building and learning. I personally find that I am forced to learn and upgrade my skills really fast during jams.
