This looks reallyy cool but unfortunately am unable to play as it stays on a black screen for me after pressing start game :(

It has good atmosphere; I like the style. I was also wondering if the levels were procedurally generated.

The combat was too easy and became repetitive, but the timer was a nice touch! It kept me frantically hunting down UFOs, conjoined twins, and sailor dogs??? Yep, my 3 worst enemies.

Developer

Yea the levels are randomly generated. I appreciate your kindness twords the art style making assets and coding at the same time left me juggling what to work on. I am very proud to hear that that was something you liked.

the presentation of this is really great! I wish there were better audio cues with the enemies (hitting, attacks, etc.) but other than that I enjoyed playing through these levels. reminds me a bit of megaman battle network, at leats aesthetically

Developer

Yea we were r running out of steam by the end as we decided to finish a couple days early but I was thinking that those would make combat feel a bit more responsive. Thanks for the review

Very visually striking!  A very cool atmosphere and I like that (I think) the levels were proceduraly generated.  The sound was a bit of a miss though.  The footsteps when you were moving were really fast and the same noise over and over with no variation, so it was pretty annoying.  And then the lack of sounds for attacking or hitting/being hit meant there was feedback missing for the player.   Dropping the footstep sounds and adding slash/hit noises would greatly elevate the game!

I love the music and the tension it creates :) Had a bit trouble with controls at first, but once it started to work (unless I misunderstood something at first), I had fun :)

The graphics of the game are nice and the combat is fun for a while. But it seems the enemy attack colliders are much larger than the on screen indicators.

Unfortunately I'm not able to play this for some reason? I tried chrome and safari, and both just showed a black screen after the transition when I pressed begin

The artstyle and music are super nice and the controls feel good too. The enemy variance didn't happen to matter, I managed each one the same way, by just circling and spamming the sword.

i had to restart a couple of times before the game would accept input. Really cool art style!

I really liked the artist’s unique drawing style!

I love how the attack follows the mouse, letting you do some wide sweeping attacks. Main issue I had was that it wasn't really clear when I got hit, making me feel like I "died instantly" even though the hearts were slowly going down

Great game! The graphics were immaculate and the gameplay is fun, I stressed myself searching for the last enemies to kill while the clock was running out, good job!
