Congratulations you guys! Love being in your Discord seeing you guys work together. What you made is really packed with the fun element. I'm not sure if there's a win condition but it gets chaotic and tense. The sword sounds were a bit hard to take seriously. Love the Protogens (I'm probably biased.

I second birdinahat's comments about needing more feedback. It also is very confusing about what your purpose is. I could not figure out what I was supposed to be doing aside from avoiding monsters. I think I was maybe supposed to be defending the tents but there was no indication of when they were under threat or where they were.

Cool little guys though! I liked the main characters a lot!

Developer(+1)

Thank you, I'm glad you like the characters! :D

We will definitely make a tutorial or some kind of instruction if we decide to continue the game after the jam

Overall this game is pretty hard and is needing some more feedback. For example there’s no sound or visual cue when you take or deal damage. (Other than just enemies vanishing and the healthbar of course.)

Whats the number in bottom right by the way?

Enemies shoot way too fast with perfect accuracy. They spawn super fast from the get go and there’s no really a chance to dodge.

Having two characters is cool. Maybe just one who could shoot and sword would make for some fun combat if the enemies were a bit more lenient.

I played on Firefox and didnt notice any visual issues by the way.

Yeah, we should have made a tutorial or some kind of instruction. We kinda rushed it due to our limited time.

We will take a look at and improve all of these if we decide to continue the game after the jam

No worries! All good if you don't - sometimes it's fine to just make something, learn some stuff and put it into the next project.

Very easy to understand and I like the possibility to choose our weapon! IMO the ranged enemies are wayyyyy to unfair, there are a lot of them and we practically can't anticipate our avoid their shots, it is sad cause I liked the GP of the light saber, cool simple idea and cool artistic direction also :)

Thank you, I'm glad you like it ^^

Feedback received! We will definitely balance the ranged enemies if we decide to continue the game after the jam ^^

Chrome worked better than firefox, but downloading the game and running the native build worked best!

Developer

Yes! We also just exported a new and better optimized version for the web. From our testing, it runs a lot better on Firefox now

Maybe up the damage on the crossbow? Felt a little too weak

Feedback received! Will do if we decide to continue the game after the jam ^^

I will say, i liked the idea, but it was very laggy for some reason, and made it hard to play

Developer

Thank you, I'm glad you like it ^^

Yeah the browser build was a bit laggy, especially on Firefox, which was kinda unplayable . We did export a new and better optimized version for the web, I hope it makes the game run smoother. But still, downloading the standalone version is the best

This game is pretty neato! The enemies are quite difficult to anticipate and my hand got a little cramped from holding down the mouse button, but I like it! Dex is the GOAT

Developer

Glad you enjoyed it!

Kinda laggy and lacking real fun outside of "shoot the thing"

Developer

Fair enough, thanks for playing :3
