I really enjoyed playing this and you really wear your inspirations (earthbound, undertale) on your sleeves (which isn't a bad thing). The music absolutely slaps and I can see myself listening to this in my free time. I enjoy the rhythm mechanics for attacks (which als oreminds me of the mario rpgs). the only gripe I have with this prototype has been mentioned before already: lack of feedback after attacks, especially enemy attacks. I really had to keep my eyes glued on the hp stats. having some sort of indicator which enemy / player is being attacked would help already

Thank you so much!! Definitely looking forward to updating the prototype of the game once the game jam finishes so we can add in all of those things we intended to but never managed to make it in. Our 9 days got cut to about 4.5 days unexpectedly, so it's really great to see people still enjoying what we were able to put together in that amount of time!

sorry to hear about that turn of events. hope you'll manage to polish it so it'll be closer to the vision you had :)

Amazing on the rhythm part, though I would have liked a bit more feedback on when I got a note wrong, as well as what the enemy was doing, how much health they had left, etc. I'm guessing the game jam's time limit forced you guys to trim those features? The core gameplay loop is fun, there's just a bit of polish to do! Another thing: I was able to walk past some of the walls, and it would sometimes spawn me near the end of the room instead of at the start. These didn't totally change the experience, but were somewhat unsettling (especially the walk past walls part). Overall, one flirtable water cooler out of ten! Super sweet and delicious, though it could use a bit more work on itself. :P

Thank you so much for playing the game!! Our own personal time limit went from 9 days to about 4 days, so while the voting has been going on, we've been finishing adding those things up on the back end so that we can upload the actual complete version once the jam is over. I'm amazed at how many people found my flirtable water cooler, lol! Deeply appreciate the feedback and thank you for taking the time to play the game! <3

Cool rhythms man, I wanted to do the same type of rhythm game with my game, but wasnt sure how yo do it like yours.

i love rhythm games so this was really fun!!! i couldn't get past the fight with dave tho....

Incredibly impressive game for having been made in so little time! Very enjoyable, though as a small nit I would've enjoyed more feedback on what the attacks were doing. Incredibly well made beyond that and some walls not having collisions, blew my socks off
Wouldn't advise flirting with a watercooler though

I love the concept so much!

It’s a little annoying having to switch between the mouse and the arrow keys every time you use an attack. I understand that weaker attacks are meant to be easier to use than the more powerful ones, but I always find the stronger attacks more fun, so I end up using the same ones over and over—not because they’re stronger, but because they just feel better to pull off.

I’d also appreciate a bit more feedback when you miss a note.

The music is great, I love the art, and I absolutely love the main mechanic!

Great job. Using the rhythm game controls for combat adds a layer of flair that isn't often seen. The audio when hitting the correct inputs was very satisfying. I would have liked to see some feedback on the enemies taking damage. I wasn't sure if was successful in my attacks for a while until the enemies disappeared.

Is there a way to choose the combat abilities with the keyboard? I kept having to switch to my mouse to select them which felt a little awkward because the rest of the game worked well with keyboard.

Over all very well done!

Very good graphics and music, but you should a have added option for full screen

Needs some polish in terms of UI, but the art, music, and gameplay premise are all awesome.

While it was ambitious for a jam and there plenty of point you can improve, the idea is really good.

I loved the fighting mechanic. I wish there was more visual feedback on the amount of damage/healing. Aside from that, really cool game, hope to see more of this.

I love rhythm games, so I had fun with this one! One of the big things is that I wish I could tell whose turn it was or when the enemy was attacking. Otherwise, a nice and creative idea, music was rad for the rhythm parts

would have loved an option for fullscreen, it's TINY in my browser! Nice idea, ambitious as heck hahaha. Great art style, one of my favorites visually so far in the jam.

WOW! I had a great time with this. There were plenty of issues, but overall, this was a great first game to check out. There are certainly plenty of issues. For instance, at once point I had two "rhythm challenges" or whatever they are called as I don't usually play this genre, happening at the same time due to presumably clicking multiple buttons at once, though I am not sure. The UI was a weak point. It would have been nice to have a highlight on the character I am currently playing as, as it took me until the third area to realize how my characters worked. It was strange that in some areas it seemed like there were intended to be collisions in which lacked them, like fence gates that you could walk through and just leave the map. Otherwise, good job!
