This was super fun, i love dice roguelikes, but i kinda broke your game, i found if i place and pick up a dice real fast you could get the card effect without using the dice, and with reroll you could get more dice, i thought i was gonna soft lock once i unlocked all the cards but apparently I'm awesome  (not really i cheated)

This is the type of games I would spend hours on. Really cool concept and super easy to pick up but it can lead to a lot of different deck build and strategies.

Very good submission. I like the roguelike gameplay, and its impressive dice mechanic. I was quickly able to figure out the gameplay without looking at the tips which is nice

The Bard is so strong i keep using hurful melody and wiping out the enemies heheheh. And if it was not enough i also used a poison attack from him tall also damaged them all. Loved the game :)

This game is great! I found a bug super quickly and was surprised no one else found it since we are all game devs, and I abused it so hard for the whole game. Heres how it works if you wanna fix it or reuse it for something.

I realised that the cards would have a table to check when the right amount of cards with the right number is used. Like this

Card:

--- Dice 1: 5

--- Dice 2: 6

and so on.

I realised this is likely done with collisions. So, heres what I did.

I get 1 singular dice with 6.

I place it on a spell.

Wait half a second

Take it off and hold it until the spell is used.

This likely happens because once the card is gone it deletes all the dice attached to it, when it should be getting a list of the dice attached to it WHEN the spell went off. Hope this helps.

but yeah the game is great and awesome and I really want to see this fleshed out more, perhaps with more classes and more progression, like armour and weapons. But this is amazing so far. Well done!

If you have some time, it would be awesome if you could try out my game :D

Developer

Developer

This was so impressive. I never figured how to play rogue likes and when I saw it was a rogue like I was like ah I'm not going to enjoy it cause I don't know how to play but BUT BUUUUT your game instructions and everything was so straightforward simple and comprehensive that I feel like a rogue champion now HAHA! amazing game, amazing art and so addicting. I had to stop myself from playing cause I wanted to vote other people's work as well but my god this was great!

Developer(+1)

That means soooooo much thank you!! So glad you played even if this genre wasnt your thing and enjoyed it nethertheless :)

I added those instructions in the last few hours of the jam at 2am, im super glad they were coherent and helpful lol

That means a lot, thanks for playing and for your super positive feedback!!! :D

Great take on Dicey Dungeons, the whole classes have different roles, but all work in tandem is great. I had tons of fun! One thing I wish is for the dice placement to be a bit more forgiving, sometimes it asks to be very precise.

I really enjoyed the game myself! Wish you best of luck in the Jam!

Developer(+1)

Yes Im a big fan of Dicey Dungeons as you can see! Inputting dice can be a bit fiddly sometimes, i hope it wasnt too much trouble. Thanks for playing!
