Great game I loved the locations
I used to play Qix on my dad's original gameboy so this brought back memories. I was hoping someone would make a game like it. The background image getting clearer as you progressed the level was interesting. I wasn't clear at first this was a Qix game and the original image being so blurry I thought it didn't load properly. Also the default resolution is HUGE, it went way off my screen. Using the fullscreen option in itch fixed it though.
Nice game! Haven't played this type of game before so it was new and fun to me.
Oh man, I couldn’t play this game due to lag :o
As soon as I click “Canada”, the game starts stuttering at 1fps with sound cutting in and out
Sorry to hear that, tested this on 3 computers all are windows/chrome though.
what OS/browser are you using?
That part shouldn’t be an issue.
Though I am running Linux (Kubuntu) / Firefox.
More likely is that I’m on a 10+ year old Laptop.
To defeat the moon one must out-retro it; a lesson I learned well through this game, a satisfying de-retro-ing of earth (and beyond}'s natural beauty.
This is pretty fun! I've never played a game like that but I liked it. Felt like you, as the player, could make it as chill or as frantic as you wanted. Either take an easy route with no enemies nearby, or try to risk it and get in close to box off big sections at a time.
Glad you enjoyed it - normally there should be number of lives and some time crunch - maybe I will add difficulty settings in a later release...
I love the Qix callback, but with an interesting twist in trying to separate the enemies. Also the use of the photo artwork for each saved location had that very vintage CD-ROM feel like you'd find in 90s video games. Nicely done.
Glad you liked it - yeah wanted to find a way to bring beautiful landscape photos into a game - only downside is now I have to travel to all these places :)
This game is fun. I like the shader on the pictures as you progress through the level. The gameplay reminds me of the Arcade game Qix
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it.
Yes it was very much based on Qix with the shader twist
