I enjoyed the gameplay of this sidescroller. The art was great! Loved the parallax, and the buttons and icons look very clean.  I liked the pixel grahics in the world and the animation for the character was great too.

I was never able to accrue any ascent points, the green gems, even though I covered a pretty good distance in the game. So I never was able to recompile and improve. Not sure if I missed some aspect of the game?

The idea of the upgrades was good, I'm just not sure it totally panned out in usability. I could tell that the goggles increased how many coins I collected, and the armor increased my hp, but I couldn't tell if the boots actually had any effect, mechanically. Same thing for the weapon. I didn't feel it being any different when enountering enemies.

It would have been nice to have a way to collect healing. I never figured out what the gold coins did besides give a snippet of lore...I wish they could also have provided some healing!

For the most part the jump and duck mechanics were great EXCEPT that it was difficult to jump if I there was an enemy in the way that my character was attacking, so sometimes it was about impossible to avoid the green hovering enemy. That lent a bit of a feeling of frustration, like my keys were locked.

This game has good bones, and I definitely think it could be improved even more. I hope you continue to work on it!

You've done the cardinal sin of incrementals - allowing the player to lose progress. I also didn't get any ascent points (and it looks like the skills are locked by level as well, which is weird) or ever spawn a "frenzy", and the on-screen buttons seem to behave differently than pressing W/S (they *do* cancel the sword swing).

Asking people money to download this game is wrong, even with bug fixes it's not a commercial product (there's not even an options menu). You also claim that no generative AI was used but the description reads very AI-y to me (possibly translated by AI?) and the cover image is 100% AI, the sword swoosh is behind the character.

I kinda don't understand this one, I played for like 20 minutes and feel like I got pretty far (because the glasses upgrade is busted since it gives like 6x your money for such a low cost haha), yet I never had any opportunity to get a single green gem for the persistent upgrades, at least not that I saw. I picked up a lot of orange gems though that seemed to deliver some lore but not too much else? It did take me like 15 minutes to realize you can scroll up/down in the upgrades section so maybe I just needed to dig deeper into those bottom upgrades?

The art is nice, especially the animations I'd say. But the music does not loop for very long, it only lasts a couple of minutes and then just stops haha, definitely worth looking into fixing that bug as the game gets kind of monotonous quickly, especially with no music

The sword swinging animation locks you in for a really long time, unable to jump or slide - that means you have to avoid all the enemies entirely or else you will eventually come into a situation where you are swinging at a line of 2-3 enemies until an obstacle comes along and it's impossible to dodge it -- that's pretty frustrating
