i really like your editor, and i plan on using it long term here. however i have met a bug, where the track's time isn't displayed correctly, which could lead to the listener closing it too early. i'm sending a screenshot below. would be grateful for some advice :]

Developer

Hi, thanks for letting me know!

Would you mind uploading the .zip somewhere i can download, or linking me to the project, so i can look into this more closely?

sure, here is the project's page

i can send you the zip via e mail if necessary

nevermind, i swapped the file from .wav to .flac, it's working perfectly fine now. though other wavs i've published are working too, so still you might want to check the tool for bugs :]

again thank you for effort, i love your project!!

Developer

Thank you for the update!

I’ve been looking into this, it seems like a change to itch.io’s asset loading is conflicting with .wav files.

I pushed an update to the editor, could you try it again with the old .wav file and see if it gives you the same issue? Thanks!

the bug still occurs unfortunately, i made the project private but if you'll need anything from that i can share a link

Developer

Yes, if you could share a link or .zip I would appreciate it!

Thank you!

The player on that page hasn’t been updated, did you use the web-based scritch editor to create a new zip? (https://torcado.itch.io/scritch-editor)

Alternatively, you can replace the index.html file in the new .zip with the one here: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/torcado194/scritch-player/refs/heads/main/index.html

i used the web one, i don't really see much difference if i post in wav or flac :]

Developer

Well, the latest link you gave is not using the updated Scritch player with the changes I made. Make sure to refresh the editor, upload the .wav and download the .zip, and upload that .zip to itch.

Using the audio from the example you provided, following these steps it now works on my end. But I would like to confirm that it works on your end as well.

it works now! thanks for patching that up :]

Great to hear, thank you for helping with testing!
