My girlfriend was sitting next to me for the whole playtest seission and this is the only game she said “oh that’s cute, this looks fun” - so that counts for something. And I have to agree, what a blast! Congratulations.
Ok I'm just playing this on the last day of rating and I have to give it all of the stars, and added it to my favorites' colleciton. There is so much to love about this game: from the presentation (grew up with GB/GBA) to the simple but engaging gameplay loop. I can see myself binging this on my handheld. The dodging mechanics are also super cool, I managed to beat the first big level and it was super engaging. The only thing that threw me off a little big was the whistles in the soundtrack because it felt like a timer had gone out.
Awesome gameplay! It took a little getting used to but I loved all the different levels and the fish were brutal!
Genuinely awesome gameplay. I did not expect it to get so intense! Nice job :)
