Ranked from 12 ratings. Score is adjusted from raw score by the median number of ratings per game in the jam.
If you have implemented the modifier, how have you done so?
The game takes place on a boat, and also we shipped the game with stuff missing
Any additional information for voters?
Every texture in the game was meant for a specific object. None of them were meant to be used as floor or wall textures - The hull of the ship is the wooden crate texture; Both floor textures were taken from unused prefabs (the basement floor has poorly hidden warning labels for a concrete tube)

This feels like a proper SBIG game in about everyway. Shame it couldn't be finished
also I have a suspicion that Glorp is a human...
It's a shame this game wasn't finished with a proper ending because I like the premise and stylistically I think this fits perfectly for SBIG in the vein of the janky Unity walking sims of the 2010's.
I loved all the character art, especially the cursed Unity bean speaking in wingdings and morse code!
And I just loved the environment, the cursed textures, the wildly inconsistently sized props, the sheer number of things laying around, and the little variations between each floor and bedroom was really neat! I would've loved to have played a proper murder mystery in it, as I just love me some largeish detailed levels!
For future work though it should be noted the collision detection on the interactable passengers and environment items is borked. It's possible the interaction raycast is fighting with the players own collider? Either way that's the one thing I think can be fixed and saved for another game if you don't plan to ever finish this.
A part of me hopes it was the vampire girl or the candle.
Good work on submitting what you did finish!
tyy!!
we knew that the collision detection was messed up but the person that wrote it was only free the first 2 days of the jam and no one else could figure out how to fix it lol
Your ending:
You accuse the child of being the murderer; no one believes you, and they decide to make you walk the plank. Then she, proving to be smarter than you, ends up discovering the real killer.
The candle and the font capsule were actually not originally going to be in the game, I just decided to make up dialogue for them on the last day instead of deleting them xD
Clearly everybody died of natural causes.
ah yes, the all natural g u n
Love the bedrooms’ tiny doors and mega furniture. The music is cool, though the loops are very short for how long you spend exploring (though maybe that’s intentional because SBIG?)
Anyway I’m guessing the killer is Zodi Ack based on the line about the murderer’s skills ‘revealing more about other people then themself’ and also because Zodiac killer. I don’t feel like there was much evidence pointing to anyone in particular though. (I read on the comment below that I’m wrong, oh well!)
ty! The inconsistent sizing was originally on accident but I thought it would be funnier to lean into it :)
It’s so obviously candleman, with his smug melty face and callous disregard for life.
Also, cool game! I like that you can just jump back and forth between days, it’s low pressure.
tbh I added the candle on the last day of the jam so that none of the art would go to waste, but I love ur reasoning and there's honestly not enough evidence to the contrary (there was some evidence that made it more clear that I couldn't put in because markitos gave some of the characters branching/reactionary dialogue but I couldn't figure out how to make it happen😅)
I accidentally opened this game 3 times and was wondering why the game ran so terribly and why the music was so horrible 😂 To be honest this probably added points more than anything
I liked al the different characters , trying to find and talk to them! It was quite a nice little concept and liked the layout of the boat! (and the reused textures!)
Don't think I have a strong opinion on the killer - I'd say it was Zodi Ack if I had to point a finger.
Thanks for submitting!
Lmao
your ending would have been:
Mercury Was in Retrograde, Not Her Morals
You have framed Zodi; that very night, you realize that although she was bad at her job, she was right—and then the killer slits your throat. Everyone else assumes it was suicide, attributing it to the deep guilt you felt over framing an old lady.
Oops
