Really cool idea though I found that each choice had one option that minimized regret and it was always the correct answer. If you make the correct choice a bit more ambiguous this could easily become a really good puzzle/maths game or more of a moral challenge

Loved the presentation here, the music and visuals were calming in an unfamilar, but homey way at the same time. Unsure if it is supposed to be a puzzle game or a narrative/choices matter (or don't matter and that is the point) game though as I found myself just clicking to see the numbers change. I do think despite that there is some nice friction (positive) from my disagreeing on the best life for this soul compared to the dev. It is a neat little work in determinism regardless.

Thanks, glad you played it!

I love the idea of this game, the narrative is nice and the sounds trigger something nice in my brain. I had the sensation that you could beat all levels by just picking the options that gave less regrets. Aside from that, great game!

Thank you!

I love the concept of having to align these two values as they count down and I think you pulled it off quite well. The graphics look nice and everything feels very polished. I also really like the philosophical aspect of life/choices being more complex as the individuals accrue years/regrets, because life do be like that.

My constructive feedback would be that there isn't enough time to read the descriptions at each of the life events and/or the descriptions are too long. I feel like in a game about exploring morality the context/justification of those choices are important.  I also felt that it became a bit too easy once the years and regrets became very high, it was basically "choose whatever will decrease by the most". Though I can see why you went that route because otherwise it would essentially require actually doing math haha. From that perspective I think you made the right choice.

Developer

Yea, I did not want to go heavy math in this quick game so I tried to keep it simple and add complexity by having more options. Thank you for playing it!

This game is very satisfying, I usually don't like puzzle games, but this is just simple enough to give me dopamine. Also the choices are really unique which makes doing a first attempt by selecting random ones quite fun :)

Glad to hear you had a good time.
