The frog theming here is cute as hell. I like the deck approach and needing to get rid of all the money in the account was a fun spin on counting down. As someone who isn’t totally math-brained, I would have appreciated some more verbal descriptions of the selected action (DEF, RND, AGG). I put it together eventually, but it wasn’t 100% intuitive.

Developer

Thank you so much! I'm so glad you loved our Fro-Accountant!

Fun fact: this whole idea came to life because my own bank account was basically hanging by a thread! :)

That's really great feedback about adding verbal descriptions for AGG, RND, and DEF. Visualizing the math can be tricky, so having text explanations would definitely make it a lot more intuitive.

Thanks for hanging in there to figure it out and for leaving such helpful feedback!

I loved the concept and specially the art! Interesting gameplay, I can see it been expanded further. The only issue I had is that I could not figure out how to discard a card I didn't want... Not sure if I'm stupid (maybe xD). I clicked everything but could not find how to discard a card. But it was still fun to play! Good job!

Thank you so much for the awesome feedback! And trust me, you're not stupid at all!

There actually isn't a manual "discard" feature in the game. Instead, if you hover over the black "Hand Over" area at the bottom right, you can check your total cards, played cards, and current hand size for the current account.

Also, you can narrow down what you draw using the AGG, RND, and DEF buttons above your cards! (If you hover over them, you can see which cards are left in the pool and their ranges—just keep in mind that these change with each account!)

Since I made this in a short game jam timeframe, the tutorial definitely could have been clearer. If I get the chance to update it, adding a discard mechanic as a core item sounds like a great idea!

Thanks so much for playing!

It's hard to draw big enough cards for the last round when the interest is x1.5. The in game tutorial is not clear enough. But the tutorial in the description is better.

The game is really cool and addictive! I find the drawings cute and funny

Developer

Balancing was definitely the trickiest part!

You usually need to cycle through the entire card pool to get those big numbers again.

That said, if you stack too many core items that increase interest, it can definitely become impossible to clear!

Thanks so much for the kind words and great feedback!

The art is great, and I love the premise, I didn't understand the hand over mechanic, but its a fun little game

Developer

Like a deckbuilder, keeping track of your Draw Pile and Discard Pile is key!

You can use buttons like AGG, RND, or DEF to target specific types of cards from your Draw Pile.

When your Draw Pile runs empty, your Discard Pile gets shuffled back into it automatically.

Thanks so much for playing and glad you enjoyed it!

I like how you can change what hands you get to lean the odds into your favor. Good job!

Developer

I put a lot of effort into making sure the RNG didn't feel cheap or unfair for a puzzle game.

So awesome that you picked up on that—thanks a lot!

Cool game, loved the artwork

Developer

Thanks so much! If I get the chance, I’d love to keep adding even better artwork in the future.

Love the cohesion of the art and the grey tones you're using! The characters are wonderfully designed too. I accidentally clicked a power on one of my runs that I think made it so I didn't have to get to exact 0 in order to win the round, but I think that power made the game a lot more enjoyable and more forgiving!

Developer

Thank you so much! I'm really glad you liked the art style and character designs!

That item was actually designed to give players a bit of breathing room so the game wouldn't feel too punishing,

so it's awesome to hear it made your run more enjoyable! Thanks for playing!

Thank you so much! I'm really glad you enjoyed the puzzle elements and found clearing the rounds satisfying. Thanks for playing!

Super cute idea for a game!! I like how satisfying it is to land on your goal. Every once in a while I would get confused about how I won, since it wouldn't land on zero but I take the wins regardless >:]

Developer (1 edit)

Ah, that's 'cause of the core items!

I should probably make the tutorial a bit more clear!

It gives you a bit more safe area on the target number, but watch out—it comes with higher interest! Choose wisely >:]

Thank you for the feedback!
