Interesting concept, I do like murder mysteries! I found the killer, but I wasn't that impressed with the mystery. I just ended up looking for contradictory statements, and guessed based on that.

In general, I think it'd be more fun if you had more to do, instead of just reading. Like building up a timeline, on some UI or something, or "answering questions" about the mystery. A bit like what a game like Return of the Obra Dinn does. Progress to the resolution bit by bit, and then be able to make a guess who killed the count based on process of elimination.

Other than that, it feels a little short with just one mystery. I understand that your angle was going for procedural generation. It could work, but I'm personally of the opinion that I don't think the fun in the replayability it would add would weigh up to a well-crafted handmade mystery that you would just play once. Unless it's done really well.

Anyway, good job!

I really like this spin on the theme haha!

I'm not sure about the time constraints. It evokes a sense of urgency and I didn't fell like I had time to really read into the testimonys and deduce. When I read the first thing that sounded contradicting to another I convicted and happened to be right. Never figured out who the forgetful one was tho.

[spoiler warning ahead]

I also think the murderer was a little too obvious with them saying. I was in the library, bur never went close to the study. It makes them really stick out from the rest. Everyone else mentions where they have been, not where they have not been. I think it would help to figure out another place for him to be at that time that he lies about or making more people mention where they definietly didn't go.

Overall I think it's a fun Idea for a game

I got it wrong twice before getting it. I didn't fully feel satisfied when I got it, but I still enjoyed the game, especially because of the art and music. If you guys expand the game, I can see it becoming a genuinely enjoyable experience. I also commend your guys' ambition with this project. Well done!
