I really enjoyed checking out this game! The gameplay is simple, easy to understand, and doesn't take long to get into. I like how the prediction mechanic makes each round feel interactive, while the hand gestures add a fun little twist to the experience. It's the kind of game where you can quickly understand what you're supposed to do and just enjoy playing.
The environment is another thing I appreciate. The room, table, characters, and lighting give it a cozy, casual atmosphere, almost like sitting down for a friendly game with someone. It helps the experience feel more personal rather than just being a basic prediction game with menus.
I think there is a lot of potential to build on this foundation. Adding more prediction types, different game modes, or increasing challenges across rounds could give players more reasons to keep playing. It would also be nice to see more character animations, reactions to winning or losing, and a little more interaction with the environment to make the matches feel even more alive.
And the tutorial or short introduction for new players helped explain the mechanics, especially more features. Overall, I like the simplicity and atmosphere of the game feel like horror but warm. Also It has a fun, approachable concept, and with a bit more variety and polish, I can see it becoming an even more engaging experience. Keep up the good work!
What a coincidence our team made a Morra/finger-guessing game too! Cool seeing another take on it, couse it's a tough mechanic to pull off, feel free to check out our take on it. ;)
Thank you, will do 😁 😁 😁
I liked the concept (and my team initially had an idea similar to this so I'm biased), but the tutorial really confused me. Probably I would have understood it better without the tutorial, but I guess there might have been a mismatch between initial intentions and final result?
Also I was confused by the hearts since it's a one-round game, but I think that might have been also a missed feature.
I liked the style and the animations and the music too! The timer probably didn't quite work with the gameplay unfortunately :(
Also as a side note, I think you uploaded the development build instead of the release build, hence the folder named "After Round One_BackUpThisFolder_ButDontShipItWithYourGame".
Thank you! You’re right i will work on the tutorial, hearts, and timer that were unclear, i also didnt notice the build issues. I’m really glad you liked the concept, style, animations, and music.
Interesting game. There were a few things I didn't understand - the rules made it sound like I was choosing a number every round but it seemed like a number was being chosen for me, and I also saw the opponent's number every round when the rules made it sound like that was hidden information. Lastly, I'm not sure why there was an overall countdown timer - if you are winning, it seems like you can just wait until the timer expires and win, which feels like cheating a little. I really liked the art (it's a cute little room) and the music/sound effects were largely good, although it got very loud towards the end. This last bit is more subjective taste, but I wish it had just let the game be a game - the gun being involved felt like it was trying to grab a bit of Buckshot Roulette-esque horror vibes, but the cute/cozy art and the rules explanation describing it as a "Nigerian street game" felt like that undercut it - presumably they aren't shooting each other on the street over this game in Nigeria! I think it'd be more interesting to have money change hands (maybe you're competing for money each round?) or something else less violent. But again, that's just my subjective taste - if you want it to be more tense/horror, I think you'd need the room's vibes to be less cozy and friendly.
Thanks so much i appreciate that you played it all through, i have taken you feedback and suggestions and will add it in the next iteration.
