How does your game fit the theme?
We built a few different prototypes, but fell in love with the fun and whacky combinations of playing cards to keep time from hitting zero.

Really nice pace on this one.

The bit I actually want to flag is the volume slider in game. Sounds like a small thing to praise but it really isn’t, I’ve played a stack of jam entries this week and nearly all of them have me reaching for my speakers instead, and I noticed straight away that you’d bothered. I’m putting one in mine because of yours, honestly.

Same goes for being able to just start. No menu to work through, no setup, I was playing within a few seconds of the page loading. On a game this fast that matters more than it would anywhere else.

You mentioned on the page that this wasn’t the first thing you tried, what were the ones that didn’t make it? :)

Very cool idea! Didn't really understand the card draw system to be honest, and often ended up with only negative cards in hand, which I understand you need in order to not allow the player to just spam-click cards, but I wonder if there's a better solution? Still, I like where this is going, keep it up!

I like how the game manages stress on the player. Having a breather when it offers a choice of cards is a great release and allows a bit of planning.
Also, I do enjoy having to track modifier effects under pressure, it really gives the experience that extra flair.
I felt that the playing of cards from my hand was a bit clunky, although I'm hard pressed to nail down exactly why.

wow cool concept of the game I was even drawn in, the game is polished and looks good I like it I also love card games, the game is balanced

in my game I also use a card system, if you're interested, take a look, I think you might like it

This game is funny. I like it. You have to think fast. However I couldn't last more than 3 rounds or deals. I think you should make it a bit easier in the first 5 rounds. Other than that, it's a great game.

I liked it. It was fun and nicely polished.
:)

It took me a bit to figure out that you *have* to play all your cards at some point.
I know you wrote in the descriptions that they go back to the draw pile; but it still didn't click in my head - I thought I'd get to just *not* play the last 3 cards in my hand, and I had to carefully pick which ones.
But, it's even trickier - strictly about the order.

I also sometimes had a visual glitch where a card I was hovering over would flicker rapidly; but it wasn't a big deal.

The best Idea I have seen so far and I looove the card desings

Such a cool game! The style and gameplay feel so nice and polished^^

Cool little card game. Easy to grasp, even though I probably wasn’t that good at it. The one thing I struggled a bit with in the UI was the small hit-boxes for the cards which cost me important parts of seconds over and again. It was fun enough though that I replayed it a couple of times.

Game was very simple, but fun! Got a score of 112, no idea if that's good or not.

So simple but so fun :D this excels in basically every category, great gaem!

I like the concept I'm used to having a lot of time to think when playing card games but this is the complete opposite. gotta think fast!

Yooo this is rlly cool, and the artstyle is so good !!

Great entry, congrats! It's such a simple and easy to understand idea, but at the same time, you made it very addicting and interesting. I was hooked.

What a good idea!

I quite enjoyed playing it and it is very interesting and patterns of playing card play a big part in the gameplay which is really nice. It is a difficult as well which is fine I think for this game.

I really love the art style, one my favs in this jam, however there are a few unfinished sprites in the game, which is fine but definitely post jam update thing.

My main issue with it was cards often time not playing or glitching even when I have my cursor hovering over it clearly. Also I would like to know when I can or can't shuffle, several times I lost a run because I tried to reshuffle when I could not.

But overall a really interesting idea, and a decent enough implementation. Great work!

This game is surprisingly very difficult! My best score was 33 after quite a few attempts

This is such a great premise, I really enjoyed it! Love a good card game, and this fits the theme so neatly too.

Really visually great game, plays super well - great work, team!

This is such a cool idea and the art is so nice!

Really interesting idea! Was getting a bit frustrated because I couldn't restock my cards every time I got under 3 cards so I just lost out on time there. But was quite enjoyable! Love the graphics

Cool idea! Has a nice atmosphere and feels satisfying once you get the hang of it.
