How does your game fit the theme?
I was inspired by countdowns for ship takeoffs. In the game you countdown to lift off multiple times. The interruption of you counting down in your ship is a piece of the games theme of making sure your choices are being valued.

(Optional) Please credit all assets you've used
I used GB Studio template assets for some of the sprite textures and music.

(Optional) What would you like to be called if GMTK features your game?

I think I loved this game the most out of all that I tried. It is so polished and full of story. Only one thing bugged me and that was the platformer part. It could use checkpoints because I almost rage quit trying to get through ;-;

hey this was awesome, i really thought you did a great job making the story feel like an adventure with all the different game modes. and kudos for managing silly, sad, AND creepy all within a gb studio game!

It's pretty crazy you went with 3 different gameplay modes for a game jam: top down, space shooter, and platformer. I think the space shooter segments had the most potential with the way they felt and the artwork, but the top down was cool too. The platforming segment was a little jank and the weakest. Still I think this was a positive experience.

i had so much fun with this game, i loved the dialogue, i loved all the things that were going on, did feel like a mini adventure and the story was cute

i was SO SAD when it didn't let me check on jacobs vitals after what happened !!! yes i do have time to check jacobs vitals don't tell me i don't .... >_<

it also told me i could hide behind walls... but then it told me i can't hide behind walls cause there was nothing nearby... let me hide behind the walls anyways, you just told me i could, so, i wanna !!

but yeah, having the little area to explore was great, the dialoge was fun, my ONLY complaint is that the shmup part of the game felt very bad, it seemed kinda pointless and it looked incomplete unlike the rest of the game;

idk was really cute and fun !! gg !

Really liked figuring out the platforming, and then having to backtrack because of the unknown being. Great game!

Brilliantly polished, endlessly creative, multiple genres. How is this just a humble game jam entry, congrats on a great game!!

Developer

This is so sweet thank you so much for playing!

Turned an arcade game into a topdown rpg like, thats something! Great one, I liked it!!

And later into a platformer, my mind is blown!

Developer

Thank you so much! GB Studio helped a ton with making different game modes transition well.

nice artwork and controlled well :> some slight collision issues but overall good entry!

Thanks! I'm very new to pixel art so that means a lot!

Lot of great ideas but none felt finished. The intro flight scene was very buggy and i dont think you can actually fail it. When you get to the platforming section you cannot fall bellow 4 hearts. Audio is nice but does not apply to a lot of things. I liked being able to interact with random things in the ship and there were some funny dialog options.

Thanks for playing! Yeah the intro flight can be super weird with shooting I think it's related to the actor limit in gb studio getting exceeded with bullets ): The in ship dialogue was fun to write.
