How does your game fit the theme?
Time moves when the player performs an action. Each level has a set time. Since time moves when the player does something, the time is also a move counter. The player has less and less time to think and act.

Great game! I really liked the concept, and the style was perfect. I also really liked the mechanic where bullets would cancel each other out, forcing you to move and time your shots to get past the enemy bullets, though I do wish there was maybe some feedback like sparks or a sound more clearly indicating what is happening there. If you were to continue developing this game, the main thing I'd suggest is moving the timer, sometimes with it being in the middle of the screen it was hard to see the bullets. But other than that I really have no criticisms, it was a solid idea and executed very well, great job!

Developer

Thank you !

Yeah I didn't have time to add particles or sound when bullets collide, but it's the first thing I added after submitting because it really helps understanding what's going on.

I'm really on the fence with the timer placement. I see how its placement hinders gameplay significantly, but it's placed there deliberately for aesthetic purposes. I still don't know what I'm going to do. Maybe make the outline on the bullets thicker (they have a slight black outline).

In any case thank you for your comment !

Awesome concept, well executed.

I do wish there was some music, and the game is a little short, I would have loved to play more levels.

Aside from that, spectacular work!

Developer

Thank you ! Music is interesting, I tried having music slow down and speed up with the game speed but it didn't feel right. I haven't found the answer to this question yet!

really cool! i like the shader

Developer

Thank you ! I wish I could say I made the shader myself, I linked it in the assets credit, I modified it slightly to work on Unity 6 though.

Quite short but very impactive graphics and gameplay!

Developer

Thank you ! It is a bit short, I'm glad people think that though, it means they want more !

Fun 2D concept inspired from SUPERHOT. But in the beginning I had trouble reading the intro for the player.

Developer

Thank you ! I need to work on some readability indeed.

This game rocks! I'd love a longer or endless version of it. I also think it'd be super cool to have a quick replay of each level in real-time after you clear.

Developer

Thank you ! The replay is a good idea haha, an endless level is an idea I had for the future !

Solid game inspired by SUPERHOT. 1-D movement is a great way to add difficulty to movement and it could work as a great baseline for a twist after a few levels.

Developer

Twists are planned ! I didn't have time to make more levels for the jam submission but definitely will in the future.
