How does your game fit the theme?
After reaching the end of the level, the player has to go back to the start fast enough (there's a countdown on the top of the screen) to avoid losing

Fun game, F key being the attack key is quite awkward though...
Hey thanks for the review :) That's my bad, I don't usually play with keyboard so my key mapping is not the best. Also you can also use the Enter key if that's better :)
Really creative concept with a great interpretation of the theme. I enjoyed learning each level and figuring out the best route, even when it got pretty challenging. The visuals and music are excellent, and overcoming the difficult sections felt genuinely satisfying. Nice work—I could definitely see this becoming a larger game!
Thanks for playing, really glad you enjoyed the game :)
This is a really creative take on the idea! The difficulty's a bit of a barrier, and I think the position of the F key makes it a little cumbersome to use the weapon whilst moving, but the presentation is phenomenal, I love the graphics and music!
hi, thanks for the feedback on controls!
Loved the tutorial and the idea. It might be good to add some sort of checkpoint after countdown is started. Very creative and somewhat frustrating indeed :D. Reminds me of "I Wanna Be the Guy" game
hi! yes, a checkpoint would definitely help, thank you for the feedback!
The name is definitely accurate. I felt like a game journalist lol. Although, the challenge and frustration is what makes it satisfying to complete. Nice work!
Hey thanks for playing :) We definitely went a bit crazy on the difficulty at times haha :)
the most interesting part to me was getting to study the future chase route the first time i played a level, and then see the whole level again in a new way. little bit rage inducing, but some of the traps made me laugh too. good amount of content too, would make a fun full game! i found some parts repetitive, but some of that is in the nature of a game designed to be.. repeated.
hi, glad to hear you found it fun! thanks for playing!
Very creative, and very enjoyable, im not exactly sure how its possible to dodge that turret tho :sob:
hi, thank you a lot! which turret are you talking about exactly? :>

Befitting of its name, this game is very frustrating and difficult, albeit very fun.
The movement is extremely fluid and responsive, the game is a lot of fun and it never feels like a level is impossible, which makes you want to try until you win. With that said, I have only finished the tutorial and started the countdown of the first level.
If you would like to make other games like this one, or simply extend this one, I believe that they should be made easier. When I try to balance a game's difficulty, I try to think of how many times I expect the player to "mess up" versus the amount of times that I allow them to "mess up". In this game, you have only one chance, making it very trial-and-error. An easy way to balance this out is simply by giving the player tools to "mess up" and be unharmed, such as HP points. However, if you'd like to keep the 1HP trait, I sugges that you give players the means to "scout ahead" (for example, move the camera slightly) and make enemies attack less often.
This was a very nice experience, and I hope I revisit it some time soon to complete something that is not the tutorial.
thank you a lot for the detailed feedback, appreciate it a lot!
i’ll try playing around with the camera and other ways to balance the game a bit later
nice take on the theme, plays well. Challenging but fun.
thanks for your feedback, glad to hear that :>
