The concept is absolutely fitting the countdown theme. With right visuals and sound effects it have great chances of becoming solid standalone game with this unique atmosphere.

Strongly reminds me of the game Seedship: decide what to bring and what will be left behind. The vibes are great, and the narrative is strong. Took me a while to figure out that transfer time was what I needed to be considering, not just file size.

I like the subtext in this game and how you how it makes you think - but it could use some more "meat" to the gameplay to encourage better replayability :)
