How does your game fit the theme?
The player's actions contributes to a timer that counts down to the end of a round. When said timer counts to 0, all the units present on the board start an auto-battle phase. After that, the countdown begins once again starting a new round.

I had a lot of fun playing this. It reminds me of the UFO50 game Attactics. I really like the gameplay, some polish, juice, and a little bit clearer indication of what things will do, and what you CAN do during your turn would greatly bolster the experience.
Thanks for your feedback!
During the jam, some things ended up not getting the fine-tuning they needed.
But I do mean it, this game is right up my alley, and I would definitely play a more polished or expanded version of this!
I spent the first few turn figuring out how to fight with the hero before I eventully found the units and, most importantly, the archers. The concept is interesting and it could work with a bit of balancing. Sending out archers to both game edges creates an impenetrable wall of arrow. Very fun.
Yeah we didn't have much time for balancing, its was basically YOLOED on the last hours. Definitely could have some fine tuning.
Glad you've liked it, thanks for playing.
The mechanics were nice but it was difficult to get the hang of it cause the frenetic countdown! No time to think about the placement and stuff. Good AI planning tho for the enemies!!
The game would benefit from a tutorial, but unfortunately we ran out of time =/
Thank you for your feedback.
Love the idea of mixing RTS + timer as a resource. To be practical, though - probably should be a bit "cheaper" to wait (as it's still too slow for RTS, but for TBS - rushed too much).
Or maybe have countdown for execution, not for thinking?
Would be also great to have stats - at least in the menu. After winning the round, I don't think I even got the difference between goblin and soldier. Partially because I was too rushed due to time constraint :)
Great idea overall, definitely something to work with!
Thanks for your comment! Balancing the game and its units is a hard task.
Each unit has its own differences, but as you said, the short time didn't help much.
Would be gret to higlight your units from the enemy ones
Yeah, that's definitely something to change after the jam.
took me a while to get the hang of it, its pretty good a unique way of making turn based gameplay faster compared to other games
Yeah, the tutorial didn't make the cut. But thanks for playing and the feedback :)
Nice Concept, the timer makes you think quickly. I could imagine that this becomes quite difficult with harder and more complex enemies! (which is good)
Thank you. You're right. Unfortunately, we didn't have enough time during the game jam to add more units.
