Wild that you completed this in 4 days nice work! You should keep working on this. An interactive tutorial would be awesome, maybe even just having a smaller scale world, with the enemies showing up sooner just to teach the player. I think a visual key for what things like town -> tree = fuel, town -> plain = food would be a helpful reference too.
Guy made a whole ass 90s era PC strategy game in 4 days, no biggie.
neat that you have a full strategy game here, unfortunate that even after spending quite a while reading it i didn't understand why i started to lose food even though i had many many towns next to plains, i guess i was supposed to be building more? this was pretty tedious and time consuming - i would have loved to beat the game but i was just a few crucial pieces of information away from getting it i feel,
i like the project, the music is nice, the gamplay seems decent, unfortunately i guess you just need more indication on what's going on and what's doing what to assist the help text at the beginning, gg though!
Congrats on submitting your first jam game! I agree with the other comments on the wall of text and the complexity but the music was chill and the art was nice, I just had little understanding of what I was doing or why my cities kept disappearing at the start but overall not bad, especially for a first jam!
Congrats on your first jam game!
But it's also too ambitious for a jam game to work well - the wall of text made it feel too complex, but when I started playing, it felt like, actually, you can just spam armies and build cities. So it felt a bit like a fake complexity.
It would be better to keep things simpler, yet have something special there.
But for a first jam game - good job!
Soo the game is interesting
The wall of text at the beginning is not the best, but if you get over it the gameplay is pretty satisfying and addicting.
The problem is that i had lots of recources at the end, but for some reason after one nuke they flipped negative.
Would have loved for some hotkeys but this was still a really solid game.
