The music is really cool! Some of the mechanics are great too, like the way you move the box. I understand that the button layout is meant to be a nod to retro games, but I found it hard to get used to. It would have been cool if you could restart at the beginning of each stage. But that’s probably just because I’m not very good at the game x)

Ummm it's definitely something, it's good I won't lie, but the only thing I think it's missing is a title screen, more levels and (this is a really important one) A screen on the game telling what the controls are, but the rest is pretty neat,

But still nice for a thing maked in tree or four days ;3

I really enjoyed the overall feel of this platformer! The paper aesthetic is cool, and the player controls and animations are so smooth. My main piece of feedback is that the enemies don’t quite match the high quality of the player character. Giving the enemies an upgrade in their design or making them a bit tougher would balance the experience nicely. The wing power-up could also use some tweaking. Great job on that ending, I completely didn’t see that coming!

The movement feel great and i love how the dash feels though I feel like I would enjoy this much better as a platformer more than a hack and slash.

The enemies act more like keys you have to get to go to the next room and only one of them have actual AI (The shooting enemy), but dying from a small bullet that spawns in without any anticipation animation and getting sent a few rooms back is very punishing. None of the upgrades synergizes with the main sword attack either

despite that, I still did enjoy the game though! The attack animation is also really well made

I think I overall enjoyed the game, going through the levels and bringing by pet box with me through the levels was so fun. (I'm still wondering if bringing a box w/in the same level was intended)

Spoiler ish teritory

The only bugs I encountered was the next level thing not working... I thought that was the ending... like being all alone and there's no one else...

But, when i replied and hugged the wall, it works...

The only criticism is that its lacking something that feels new or innovative for the lack of a term?  If I analyze it in terms of the gameplay, its fine, but there could be something... I just can't really describe it...

The dash and attacks feel nice (sfx, and display)... the grabbing is a bit jank but the fun physics kind..

For the actual ending... I already saw it a mile away (Not a bad thing)... "X monsters left", and having to murder to progress... It was only a matter of time....

Again, I liked it, it was fun to play through the short experience, and well done in submitting to the GMTK game jam.
