very cool done, it was fun
Cool! I love the airplane flight physics, it even reminded me of an old game, I think it was called "Lock On: Modern Air Combat," but I can't remember exactly, but it had something similar. Good job!
This is really fun. My best is 360.
LAGGY, but fun
I'd be happy if someone stopped by to check out my game sometime : https://janoschcode.itch.io/blastout
Fun and interesting..!
I T S LA G G I N G, GOOD GAME THOUGH
That was fun and challenging! Great job!
1005 meters!!!
I miss some sfx or music, but nice driving mechanics, and i love how the map gets longer the further you drive.
Nice that you did a Linux build.
Woah that's impressive! Good job.
Thanks for the feedback. I would have loved to add some nice SFX or at least background music but didn't find the time and focused on UI polish instead. Just having a looped engine sound was too annoying to me :D
I almost exclusively tested this on my Steam Deck, so the Linux build was a must.
its creative but idk why i got no sound when playing is it just me?
Thanks. I didn't find the time to add satisfying sound :(
DO NOT boost when going uphill. Your car becomes a rocket!
I wish this can be played using a chase camera. Top down camera is fine, but I think the narrow tracks makes it a bit hard.
Thanks for the feedback. Or DO boost uphill but stop before you reach the top ;)
I didn't find the time to test different camera setups but really liked this top-down feel. I'll have to test around with a chase camera though.
The controls are quite weird to play but I think it's fun. I got to about 300m but I think it's odd that there's no reverse option since it's quite easy to get stuck on the edges so I had to reset a lot (which also made me lose a lot of time).
Thanks for the feedback!
There is a reverse option. Using "S" (or the brake "E") will reverse. I probably should have documented that in the controls section.
That boost is nuts! Fun little time attack that just needs more track variety I think
Thank you for playing my game and the feedback.
I would have loved to add some more variety but was quite busy and happy that I got the procedural generation to work at all :D
I like the idea, but I kept getting stuck.
Yeah, especially some of the cars (like Speedy) are just to long/big for these narrow tracks :D
