If you have implemented the modifier, how have you done so?
This game reeks of rushed - My boss told me to "Just ship it" when I axed for a delay

Any additional information for voters?
There will be a definitive update to add whatever's missing, including a proper soundtrack. Also one thing, this game is Flashy, so if you got any epileptic history, turn your back and never come back

The combat feels really good. The sword has some really cool combo moves. My favorite one is to jump and hold attack at the same time so that you can perform the slam attack while staying near the ground.

Unfortunately, the monsters that explode on death made the sword a really risky weapon to use, so I just ended up pogo-jumping with the pistols' explosive rounds, which is actually the easiest strategy in this game since it prevents you from getting hit by any melee attack while giving you a better view, allowing you to pick out the range units first.

The graphic design is... honestly... pretty unbearable. The whole scene is mostly dark and gloomy, but for the things that glow, their glows are so piercingly bright they can make you blind. It kinda feels like staring into the sun. I understand that it's exactly the aesthetic that you want to achieve though, so...🤷

Really  fun experience! Honestly this game feels so polished  (possibly  too  polished 😂 but the intro made up for that!)

Honestly the platform mechanics are really neat. Obviously gives DOOM reboot vibes, but the grapple mechanic also kinda reminds of   A Story About My Uncle,  which is possibly my favourite first-person platformer!

Combat was neat. Maybe felt a tad repetitive towards the end but not overly so. Honestly the visual effects and fluidity was stunning, and the first boss fight was pretty neat!

Was a funny ending (I do love a good anticlimax!)

Anyway, this was once again super impressive work! Big well done!

This was an awesome movement shooter with some really well done mechanics.

Movement feels great, shooting and slashing feels great, I really love being able to juggle enemies in the air! And jsut the pumping music, the sounds of the weapons and enemies are great, also I just really love the sound of the floating platforms coming up!

And I like the detail of adding the extra hard fight in the first level for if the player retries the game or if they guess the sorta grapple points. Which by the way are fun, but I don't remember ANY explanation of using them, I just kinda guessed after dying a lot.

And at this point I should mention this game feels really fun, but frankly the SBIG elements feel very muted compared to STATIC. Like the gameplay feels improved, but I recall STATIC feeling more like a proper janky game. The cutscenes though did as some humour and were a good touch, and the ending did fit into a good SBIG entry.

The boss fight with the biblically accurate angel was cool, but frankly I was thrown off by not being able to parry the lobbed projectiles. Maybe playing Doom The Dark Ages led me astray but they felt like a natural candidate for a parry.

The combat didn't feel as click heavy this time which my index finger appreciates, I think I would have preferred being able to hold down the left-click for auto firing the pistols and right-click for power shot, but it's an acceptable tradeoff I think.

Overall this was a very fun game to play, great work!

Yep, I initially wanted more "what the fuck" type stuff mid-game, then I ended up being short on time after I spent too much of it actually making the gameplay (I guess that's the 'just ship it' part)

An idea I had in mind is a low effort minigame where you have to protect a baby in a cradle from attacking enemies - Which then would spiral into the "remind me to feed the baby" -> "defeat the baby"  meme and then a boss fight. I'll probably make this a thing in the big update

Anyway, thanks for playing!

I'm an innocent man, I praise the Lord everyday but that feeling of power when I slash the demons? Holy cow, even Jesus can't give me that!

Embrace the Doom

On another note, if you need a soundtrack for this beauty, I think we can make a deal. I'd love to work on it.

Thanks for playing!

I saw your work on SoundCloud and I think you'd do a great job for ambient music in levels. Sent a Friend request on Discord so we can discuss it there 🤙

Dashing around rocket-jumping off of skeletons spinning my guns and feeling an odd sense of peace. This is how life was meant to be, yknow?

Even on the lowest difficulty I died a lot! But maybe I'm just not CRAZY enough for this level of ACTION?

Very funny, EXTREMELY good presentation -- nice cutscenes! And just seriously fun as well!

(Something to patch in a future update: the game does not scale well on ultra-widescreen displays! I actually couldn't see the HUD at all, LOL)
