Very cool concept! This is so far the best "time-as-HP" idea and implementation I have seen so far in this game jam.
One thing I found counterintuitive was that, when using the keyboard and mouse, aiming is still based on the character's direction. The game uses the weapon's direction to indicate that, but it is still difficult to tell. I think it won't hurt to use the mouse cursor for aiming.
The bow felt useless because many enemies won't follow the player in one line. They always offset a bit so that the horizontal arrows never hit them when the player is not moving.

Such a creative gameplay concept! The art and music are both wonderful, and the animations are adorable!

The game was a bit too difficult for me, and I had a hard time staying alive. It would be nice if there were other ways to recover health besides collecting enough time.🥲

Pretty nice art and interesting design!

Nice looking game, but I can't get over how frustrating the aiming is. The intuitive thing is to want to aim with your mouse, but it only lets me attack in the direction I move :(  Other than that I like the idea with the count downs!

Thank you for playing! Our controlling is really a bad design. I think we will fix them after jam.

boss killed himself, there is also not enough fitback from the actions

Developer

Yeah, at first we thought waiting for the boss's countdown to reach zero and letting him die on his own is also a viable strategy, but it may be not interesting. For fitback, it is really hard to balance everything in a big map especially when everything is counting down. Perhaps changing the map to spawn enemies in dungeon rooms would solve this problem, but we started off thinking in the wrong direction.

nice game, the combat system is pretty weird and takes a while to get used to. Also i gambled to death so 10/10

Developer

Thank you! For controlling, my initial goal was to adapt to gamepad controls, so I bound movement and attack directions, which does indeed violate conventional control logic.

Great artwork. The club weapon was more straightforward for me than the sword. The combat was a little hard to get used to since I was attacking with LMB but not attacking in the direction of my mouse. Great submission!
